Well I went through a huge ordeal this morning to get her.  The breeder also has a wildlife rescue and they travel to different schools around the state to show off the animals.  well the program ran over so I waited for an 1.5 hours before I finally got my baby and then had to rush home and was 30 minutes late for work.  Thats ok though because i’m totally in love.  I was watching anastasia with my nephew and there is a little dog in it named “Pooka” I thought that would be cute for my new baby flemmie…. Here she is!  She is 6 weeks old and already bigger than Charmin. lol

        Her ears are HUGE

The whole way home she licked me like this

My what big ears you have….

Pooka ! I like! She’s amazing – pristine white. You can totally see she’s a baby though. You’ll have HEAPS of time to bond with her. Congrats at last!

That’s actually amazing that you named her Pooka after a dog. It’s the perfect name for a rabbit, and I almost used it myself, except I had already named my guinea pig (as a teen) Harvey after this Pooka. Here’s one definition:

“Pooka. From old Celtic mythology. A fairy spirit in animal form. Always very large. The pooka appears here and there, now and then, to this one and that one at his own caprice. A wise but mischievous creature….In the classic Mary Chase play Harvey, the title character Harvey is a pooka, in the form of a very tall humanoid white rabbit.”

If you rent the movie with Jimmy Stewart, either version, there’s a fantastic painting of a 6 foot tall rabbit standing for his portrait with Jimmy sitting just in front of him. A white Flemish Giant is the spitting image.

Congratulations on getting your new baby!

Thanks everyone! Wow that is amazing that her name fits so well. I will keep you updated on her. She is such a sweet and curious girl. You can tell that the breeder spent a lot of time with the babies.
