here’s a sweet 1 yr old hotot named mojo who’s at the k-w humane society in ontario who i met today. we had a lovely cuddle & play session… he’s very very sweet & curious & playful! and he’s the sole bun bun there at the moment. i took a close shot of his ear… is that brown marking natural like freckles do you think? it was on his skin & not hair & wasn’t lumpy.

Oh, he’s gorgeous! I think it’s possible it’s a “birth mark”. I so hope he finds a good home like he deserves.
I just lost what I wrote Oh dont’ you hate that retyping it lol here goes the ear does not look like ear mites or anythign yes probably a birth mark and do all hotot buns have that eyeliner look llike cleopatra? he does look like a very nice bun sounds like a g reat personality ohhh my fingers are exhausted I been chatting with a friend for a long time now time to take a break are you g oing to take that little lovely bun home?
AAAAHHHH!!! SOOO CUUUUUUTE! ^^
Ohmigosh I wish I could just scoop him up! Those hotots are just darling! And that is one interesting birthmark! 0.o
AWWWW so you’ve started your volunteering now too?
That bunny is soo cute!!
I love hotots!!!
He looks so much like Marilyn. Thanks for helping with him!
aww so cute i think its just a marking, i hope he gets a home soon
or are u considering adding to your clang babybunsmum? i think so ![]()
It just looks as though the brown area is just the pigment of his skin- nothing to worry about.
He looks so sweet.
is that shredded newspaper being used as bedding? i didnt know that that could be used?
very cute bun!
no it’s actually shredded office paper. must’ve been donated because i saw 2 huge bags of it next to the rabbit area. i don’t know how well it would soak urine but it’s sure fun for buns to be in. mojo was having a blast anyways! i haven’t actually started volunteering, i just show up on my own & help myself & no one seems to mind so far.

Aha…so that’s what happened to all of Enron’s bookkeeping, eh? ^^
So I would guess that just plain paper or lined paper could be shredded up for a bun’s amusement? I’ve been trying to think what I could put in with Mimzy when he seems bored instead of wasting hay or using that bedding that he’s so allergic to.
enron’s bookkeeping… lol! i was wondering if it was okay to use for litter, asuming buns would eat some of it. i know newsprint is okay because of the soy based ink they use but i wonder about office documents. i imagine that the humane society uses whatever they get donated?
Mojo is beautiful!
I used to bring home office shredded paper from work … tons of it! The only thing was I had to bring it home and carry it on the train … geezzz did I get some comments and looks!
Oh the bunny loves it …. not to mention the piggies.
I also used in the littertrays.
Now a friend of mine brings it home for me … she has a vehicle. Much easier.
I have a friend that gives me all of her shredded paper, and after seeing that picture I want to put it in a big pile and put my bunnies in it and see what happens
Currently I just mix the shredded paper with my normal litter because I figure the more stuff down there to make things cushy and absorbent.
mojo …heheeh what a name. I bet he is a ladys man. lol
well, he sure charmed me! lol
just went in again today & mojo was gone! since he was the lone bun there a week ago i have to assume he found a home ![]()
in his place were 3 lurvly bun boys. unfortunately my camera ran out of battery power right as i turned it on so i have no piccies this week. and 2 of the buns didn’t have tags yet.
bun #1 had a name… goliath… he was maybe 7lbs and was dark brown & orangish with uppy ears and was very shy.
bun #2 was a randy lop earred boy so i called him randy
he fell in love with my arm immediately. he settled down for head pets tho.
bun #3 was a teensy weensy light greyish-brown bun with tiny dark uppy ears & a darker tip on his nose. he was petrified when i first greeted him but he opened up a bit after lots of head pets. he really loved the tp tube i brought & was playing with it when i left.
there were also 5 piggies in the room… they’re darn cute. i have no experience with piggies and i don’t understand their nature at all so i didn’t pet any. are they more timid than bunnies on average? they seem to move more quickly.
They move quickly and love playing train (running around nose to bum). They will pee in your lap, also don’t like being high off the ground. They can be timid but they aren’t always. They TALK alot! You can tell by the way they talk (faster, furious, softer) how they are feeling, so this can guide you as to how they want to be pet. I found they generally like their ears rubbed, under their chin and just soft strokes over there back ![]()
are u looking for another bun babybunsmum or just going for the fun of it?
just going for the fun of it. i surely couldn’t afford the vet bills for another furry friend. i’ve let my visa balance get a tad out of hand what with baby’s surgery last nov, her urinary issues, pinky’s spay and bogart’s heartworm & checkup. oi. plus my hands are full with bonding baby & pinky. my mission is to go there & give extra head pets & toilet paper rolls. AND i just got my invite to the humane society volunteer orientation! yahooo! i’ve been on the wait list for ages. can’t wait to get in there officially!
