Here is Corona, my new English Angora. Previous owner said she’s about 8-9 months old, unfortunately not spayed, and she’s been shaved
Which I don’t think you are supposed to do to Angoras.
Anyway, the reason I got her was because the ad giving her away said that the owner wanted her to go to a home where she could run around and ‘play’ with other rabbits. Hmmmm… so instead of sending a snarky email saying the rabbit would end up in a fight or pregnant, I opted to adopt her.
So here she is!

What an absolute cutie! Look at those eyes! And I love their ears. Shearing won’t do her any harm–things should grow back to normal. In fact, English and French lops are normally “plucked” (loose fiber combed out), but German lops don’t shed and must be sheared. At least, that’s what all my spinning books say.
Bravo to you for giving her a good home where she’ll be safe!!
Aw, congrats on getting Corona! She’s a beau. Her coat is very pretty, in the first pic she looks like she meant to pose lol.
My brother is visiting so in the background I heard “What the heck is that?” Then “…I want one.” Hahaha.
Love her!
LOL!
What a beautiful rabbit! You’re going to have your hands full grooming that one. The english angora that comes to hoppy hour is either beautifully groomed or only half groomed when he comes. He only puts up with so much and then he’s D-O-N-E.
What a pretty bunny! Congrats on the new addition!
Oh gosh what a beauty. I just love that breed. Yep lots of grooming. People do get them sheared and the hair grows back out again. It is ok to shear them.
What about those bird seeds the lady mentioned heheee. I guess you are skipping those. ![]()
Yeahhhhh…she said to feed her Wild bird seed…but I’m thinking no. lol.
omgoodness how cute!!! lol.. thats so funny shes shaved. enjoy her.. she has some awesome ears ![]()
I was under the impression they needed to be shorn else they get to hot. Guess it’s a cool climate breed (??) Congrats again – like the pic of her leaning over to greet another bun in cage.
Cute!! I want one but bf says “NO MORE ANIMALS”!!!
I’ve been seeing a few of them pop up on Kijiji too.
LOL, fortunately *though unfortunately* my bf is in BC right now for Xmas…and he doesnt know about Corona!!! LOL…
heheheh
“uh, hon, it’s not a rabbit, it’s an ‘Annngooorraaa’ so don’t worry!” ![]()
Aww how cute!!! Im jealous and i want one lol! The first pic reminds me of a hamster with its cheeks full of food lol, cus of all that hair right there ya know?!
Arent’ you though bunny liz. I am jealous too. I am glad for Corona.
No she is a puppy honey. Just real quite and long ears. I am sure your friend will love her too. ![]()
EA’s are hard to find in Florida. Probably a good thing. I saw a lady with one at the vets here but I never asked where she got it from.
Do you now have 11 buns? I bet they are so much fun. And work too.
wowzer you are busy woman LL!!!!
your bf is gonna be….shocked?! lol. do you two live together? my bf would FREAK out!
Love that face ![]()
We don’t live together, and he does enjoy the bunnies…but yeah, brings my total to 11. Bleck. LOL. It’s a lot of poop on a daily basis, I gotta say. LOL.
Oh no… you’re turning into the crazy bunny lady!
Er…? Turning into the crazy bunny lady? ![]()
I don’t know how you do it…11 buns…plus 2 horses! I have my hands totally full with the 3 buns and 1 horse!!!!
You forgot the 2 dogs aged 1 year and 8 months! Two high-energy beasts…lol…
you must a great friend for looking after all those babies during the holidays!!! wow and puppies!!!
Thank you for rescuing her!!! She’s a cutie!!
Oh how precious! 0-0 I’ve never seen a dark colored angora like that. Hmmm…I think the shorn look is a nice one. ^_^
I want to know what kind of vitamins you are taking to keep up with all these lovely babies…I am beat to a pulp after just dealing with my three bunnies, the three cats and the two dogs. (Don’t even have enough energy to feed the fish… >.< )
She is lurvely! ^_^ Who’s that she’s trying to snog in the last photo? ![]()

“and she’s been shaved
Which I don’t think you are supposed to do to Angoras.“
Oh no hun. You absolutely HAVE to either shear or pluck angora rabbits periodically in order to maintain their health.
Good to know.
She’s trying to mooch with Yuuki in that last pic; my male Lionhead. They kissed and then she pissed on my couch…lol.
you’ll love English Angora. They have a personality and temperment that is matched by no other breed. (I might be a little biased)
