I realize it wasn’t the best idea, but I recently put a deposit down on another young holland lop. I couldn’t help but fall in love with him. Now I’m set to pick him on the 22nd at 11 1/2 weeks. Meeko will be almost 16 weeks at this time, and he recently got neutered, so his hormones should settle down by then. Would it be ok to house their condos next to each other? I want to get Marly in for a neuter once he’s settled in a bit. I also put a stuffy in Meeko’s condo, and he seems to really enjoy grooming it!
Now Meeko has got the best personality ever. He follows me, licks me, lets me hold him. He actually prefers to be held during car rides (to the vets & such) rather them being in a kennel, and was friendly from day one. I haven’t noticed any changes in personality, as he is far from timid. I realize that all bunnies are different though, so depending on how well Marly does the first few days will determine when I neuter him. Marly’s breeder has told me he’s really friendly though.
I’ll attach some photos of Marly below, since I haven’t posted any yet. I will be updating this post once the bonding process has started, but I could really use some tips on how to go about bonding them.
