the past three days have had me scratching my head.  she is like a completely different bunny.  so much more adventurous!

she’s been in the kitchen once or twice… but usually by accident… or only a couple feet in sniffing the fridge.  she hates the tile.  we put her in the kitchen once and she did the frantic scuffle scuffle scuffle of nails on tile, as she ran back to the carpeting.

we have a rug by the sink and i guess today she decided to explore this rug and i walked in to get more coffee and she was sitting on it, a good eight feet from the hallway carpet.  she saw me and ran back to the living room… but no scuffle scuffle scuffle… she was able to hop gracefully back.  so now she keeps going in the kitchen b/c she has learned how to navigate the flooring.  i had to do a quick search of the kitchen to make sure it was safe (b/c i never bothered proofing it before… she never went in there!)

the last time i heard a big commotion in there, she had wedged herself between the garbage can and the microwave stand.  this is gonna be fun…

lol!  that meadow!  i wonder if baby bun has been online with her giving her tips?  she can navigate the vinyl floor really well.

thats what is was like for me after baby buns surgery recovery.  suddenly i had a diff bunny & had to totally re-think my bunny-proofing.  have fun!

Oh dear. Once they’ve figured it out there’s no stopping them. Humphrey could navigate wood floors and tile right when we got him, which was a big surprise because Monty still can’t walk on anything but carpet. (I think it’s because he doesn’t hop normally– he walks like a kitty most of the time, one foot in front of the other– Humphrey *bounds.* XD )

It’s the same with the kids, the minute they learn to walk instead of crawl, well any free time you may have had up till now goes out the window!

My kitchen is where I put the bunny run, so the two can have their exercise. It’s linoleum and I place strategic areas of cardboard to assist with footing, as anything else they chew through. But they are safely fence din and the floor is clean enough for anyone to eat off of before I drop that pen onto it.
Poor Beka! ;_; Naughty Meadow! 0.o Idle paws are the devil’s workshop, you know. ^^
P.S. Hope she doesn’t figure out where the crisper is! *_*

Meadow is a trip!  Now I think we know why she’s lost weight!  She is definitely exercising more!  What a rascal.

Spockie had the wierdest thing about kitchen floors. He could be on a tile floor in the dining area, and have only the kitchen counter sticking out into the space, no door or change of tile, and he would stop himself and never set foot in the kitchen area. Same floor. No visible break, just would not step into the space. In an apartment I had with wall to wall wooden floors, and an open floorplan with a counter separating some space, he would walk on one side but never the other. Then he would stop and never go down one entry hall. Again, no doors. He really never set foot into any kitchen wherever we lived. But he got excited when he heard the fridge. Just didn’t go over to it. It was so strange to see him hesitate and stop! He adored carpets of course, but he certainly was able to walk on floors.

(He had no problem with bathrooms with the same floors. Came right in.)

They are funny, aren’t they? Edson will not leave the office, his room. Will only come to the doorway and do a long stretch to see but that’s it! Same floor too. Very weird!

in my old house the kitchen and hallway were ceramic tile and the the carpeted living room was off of the hallway.  Stephen never once ventured out of the living room.  he was not as adventurous as our Miss Meadow tho…

Oh, that long stretch! Edson does it too. Do you see a bit of nose, then hear a scramble of feet when he decides to run back into the office?

Yup you got it! I can see the nose from the room next door and then he backs up. The kitchen is right across from his room. Maybe he’ll be adventurous like Meadow and actually walk across the hall to get there! I’ll even taunt him with a treat and no way will he cross that invisible “fence”!!!

Holly doesn’t like linolium either. She’ll go to the edge of the carpet, and then she’ll back up.

Dono uses linoleum as a barrier against the evilness of Maryann. If she starts to harass him, he immediately runs for the slippery stuff, which she can’t stand.

                              They are VERY smart.

Meadow has been in the dining room (also tile connected to the kitchen) all morning… UNDERNEATH THE HUTCH!!!

how she got her big butt under there i’ll never figure out…

this is driving me nuts because i can’t get under there.  maybe that’s why she chose the spot…

Oh that Meadow.  She’ll come out as a huge ole dust bunny!  Edson did this in my office.  I have a huge old pine armoire and he scooted under and came out a dust bunny.  From then on I made sure to swiffer all the dust out !

Monty acts like a duster when he squeeeezes himself between the couch legs and the wall at home. >__< Then he freaks out when he gets cobwebs on his face, but won't let us touch his whiskers to get them off.

do you know she stayed under the hutch ALL DAY LONG!!!

literally, she was underneath there for several hours.  i was getting worried she was stuck, but she wasn’t.

finally i had to take the broom and nudge her (gently!) out from underneath b/c i had to go to work.  i’m dreading tomorrow b/c i know that’s probably the first place she’s heading.

lol… little stinker!  baby bun’s fav spot in her room is under a dresser & when i had to get her to give her meds i’d have to swoosh her out from under there.  i have these silly slippers from an olf halloween costume that are like wearing stuffed animal dogs on your feet.  i put my hand in one & used it to flush her out.  that way she thought the furry thing was evil & not me

you can’t bet your bottom dollar she’ll head straight there at her first opportunity!

                                          *yawn*

woke up, turned on coffee pot, let Meadow out.

she’s currently sitting in the kitchen about 2 feet from the hutch.  it’s only a matter of moment until she’s under it…
