I have had the Maze for a couple months now.  Edson sleeps in it all day long on the second floor, same corner.  All of a sudden (and this was pre-puppy) he is absolutely destroying this corner!  He still sleeps on the mess he’s made but any day now the floor will collapse.  Why would he destroy his favorite spot NOW???? The funny part is if I turn the maze around the openings are not in the same place and he literally tries to turn the maze around to where it was before!

hahaha!!! he’s such a smart cookie!

mine were the same way. it didn’t take them AS LONG… but for a few weeks they’d only sleep in it, maybe nibble on the cardboard a bit, but that was it. now they’ve made the maze virtually unrecognizable inside. i think it took them awhile to figure out that they could destroy it, and now that they know it’s their new goal. they’ve mostly only remodeled the inside panels, so the structure is still okay.

what i did with mine is i stuffed one of the lower compartments with whole sections of newspaper. they were digging in that for several days and it saved the structure for a short time b/c they were distracted. it made a huge mess when i lifted the maze to clean up, but they loved it… and isn’t that really what it’s all about?

how’s Edson with the puppy? have they met yet?

(and also, i think BB has the extra panels for sale in the store, so you can just order what needs replacing…)

Rupert is doing major renovations in our maze right now, he’s very determined that those troubling turns and passageways are going to be eliminated for one giant comfortable box LOL

I think I’m going to take the second story off and put it away until the first story is totally destroyed. Then he can have another one to renovate!

See this is why I’m probably not getting one. As lovely as it sounds for the bunnies, I watch then decimating cardboard boxes and containers every day. Pip especially cannot resist chewing it. In fact, she gets so upset when I replace the old chewed boxes that it starts poop wars when I do it.

Hmmm…perhaps Edson is psychic and he knew the pup was coming? Get that boy his own 800 number! ^_^

knowltons, can you switch the panels around so, the bottom one is replaced by a less chewed one?

Well there is not a bottom or floor piece only a middle and a top one.  If I  flip the maze the other direction the little man has a fit and turns it around! Any chance those travel ones are coming soon? If not, I think I’ll cut this one in half and order a new one.

We’re still wheeling and dealing with our manufactuer. Unfortunately it will probably happen just before you need it. Middle of November? Is that right?. But I’ll keep you updated.

Shadow was not impressed for weeks with the maze…he preferred his castle. Now every morning for the past month, he has breakfast and sets off to work to renovate. He seems to obsess with one inner opening. Once in a while he will pop out the top and fling himself off the second level.

When I come home, he runs to the baby gate but takes the long way by going through all his tunnels, castle and maze.
