  So I said I was not going to get bun #2 until I moved back home to go to grad school, which is at the end of May. BUT I saw this adorable bun needing a home on craigslist and…I’m in love She is spayed, about a year old, litterbox trained, and living in a puppy pen. At first glance all of the things I was going to look for in an adopted bun. I will have to work harder at bonding her to Truffles since there will be territory issues here as opposed to if I waited until I went back to MD, and there will obviously not be a rescue agency doing it for me. But if it fails I have room to house them separately (1 in my boyfriend and I’s bedroom hehe can’t believe he agreed) until after the trip back home. So whadya think? (pics below)

  she’s gorgeous. when is Truffles neuter? it’s coming up very soon right? will they hold her until after his surgery at least? i thought it was within the week…

  Truffles already got neutered this past Friday! I think I would hold off until he is a little more healed until the intro.

  whee so I am definitely getting her! he kind of foster mommy is dropping her off next Saturday, April 5th!!!!! I am so excited!! now get ready for lots of “help me with bonding posts” hehe. I am really hopeful that I will be able to bond them though because Truffles was around lots of bunnies when he was younger at the breeders, she is friendly with the foster mom’s cats and dogs, and they are both fixed! yay so excited!!

  Oh man, I would have a hard time saying no to this one if I had the chance to get her. She is beautiful! And already spayed? Sweet! That makes things kind of neat, hm? ^^
  Please keep us updated, this is a lovely bun and it seems like kismet to me!

  I am partial to lops- and even though I am not ready for 2nd bunny yet- would adopt a cutie like that! I love, love, love her markings!

  hmm so I have a little more than a week to set up for the new bunny! I was thinking of housing them in Truffles’ space, one in a puppy play pen one in Truffles’ cage next to each other with a few inches in between to cut down on biting, switching areas every night, and doing the introductions in a play pen in the bathroom. does that sound ok?

  i’m no expert, but i think it is fine to put them in the same room as long as Truffles isn’t very visibly upset. if he freaks out you may want to move her and take the introductions a bit slower.

  yep I am getting her for sure next Saturday I kind of feel like it was fate that this amazing bunny popped up now instead of me waiting and searching for one in a few months. well if the bonding goes ok then it realy will have been fate! I’m a little scared but I have read every single website article I could find on it and been lurking on the bonding threads here so hopefully they will be bffs!

  There must be a strange mystical creature out there that is a cross between Cupid and the Easter Bunny. When someone with the potential to be a great rabbit parent gets into close proximity to a bunny that deserves a great parent…then…..wham- youv’e just been smacked with the “Bunny Love Wand”- and it just all works out for there! Fate is now happy. I was not looking for a bunny at all- and if asked before I saw Cotton I would have said that I did not EVEN WANT ONE. But I took one look at her little bunny face- and it was meant to be! I adore her, she adores me- she kisses my face and I would buy her anything she wants!

  I was touched and angry when my hubby told me three bunnies had been carelessly left in front of his work down the road from us, and hadn’t even thought to ask to keep them, but was determined to rescue them rather than let them suffer in the oncoming cold…but when Mim appeared in front of me it turned my world upside down. I got smacked alright. And I was so lucky to have a hubby who was totally in love with the whole idea. ^^
  
  lolz…A bunny Cupid. I bet I could get my daughter to draw one of those. (goes off to ask her)
