I second that Chewie. Is that a little molt line I see?
Mehbbe
Squee! Look at those helicopter ears!
Flat as an eel, but a healthy weight rest assured

Burrito… spinach… now I’m hungry
If you think you can bribe me with free carrot from the market lady, then think again, hoomin. I’ve said before, if its warm enough for THOSE BUNS to go outside then its warm enough for ME TOO! I have mastered the evil eye look ya know!
Lil’ cutie patootie.
Mr. Olaf has been such a little snugglepants lately.
Olaf just melts my heart
Gina. Haha. My Mum calls that the Paddington Bear Stare…..
Pinkn’ : Henry is getting a moult line the shape of Olaf’s patch and I think of him each time i see it !!!
Olaf! Snookums! *snuggles up against him and goes back to sleep*
Boston finished his colour change and he turned out to be …. a really dark sable point !!!!
GJ that look is priceless!
blurry but still had to share – puss n boots pellet face!
Too cute! Pellet face is melting my heart
All these sweet sweet buns!
Wick has my heart <3
Awe, Vienna. I love hearing that!
Q8: He’ll love you forever!
Boston’s coloring is just gorgeous.
Cuuuteee!
Lord of Darkness sunbathing! He also did his first two flops since the whole ordeal started
Oh no, I missed 4 days of totally adorable bunnies! I showed them to Bas as well, and that brought something of a smile to his face. He had his wisdom teeth removed two hours ago, so he was quite “happy”.He just left to his own house to play games all day long, hopefully that’ll distract him a bit.
Breintje decided to cheer us up and did the cutest flops he could make. He even allowed me to pet him while in full flop. That’s like a once-a-year event The little fellow is so happy that the sun is finally back again. In winter the sun is too low, so it doesn’t touch the ground in the living room. Bas has a much better camera on his phone than I do, so here are some better pictures:
Lots of sunbathing! <3
Cuddlebug bunnies! Two pint-sized cuties.
Today is Olaf’s second birthday.
We celebrated with a tiny banana-pellet parfait, papaya sprinkles, and a brand new set of baby keys,
Awww, happy birthday Olaf!
Thank you, and happy flopping to Breintje! :]
Happy birthday Olaf! What great bday gifts .
happy birthday Olaf!
I put a hairclip in Tony’s fringe to get it out of his eyes for a bit. He actually loved it, it wasn’t easy to get it back off him… I need to get him a smaller one though because this one seemed a bit heavy for his little head.
Adorable! I like that idea better than trimming it.
Aww… Hoppy Second Birthday, darling Olaf! You look so handsome with your party hat on Kiss on that sweet chocolate nose of yours
TM: Brill idea! Going to look for those baby clips and try it on Chew
Happy Birthday Olaf! We love you!
Poor Rumball… He’s so tolerant of me these days. I tried this dog jacket on him. I originally picked it up for my brothers dog but it was tough to get on her. So it’s been sitting around. Rumball was a fatty bun for so long but these days…not so much.
It’s getting cooler down here in Australia, but not so cool to warrant a jacket.
OMG he’s so cute! Squeee!
Happy bday Olaf! D
Omg I want to put things on K too ;_; but he’d kill me
Oh my word Jersey my heart!!!
Happy belated birthday Olaf!!!!
Happy Birthday Olaf!!
Rumball is so cute!
Here’s Luna, clearly enjoying their new bed
It’s been a cold, miserable start to the month, these pictures are providing some welcome respite from the SAD. You all have such adorable buns!
Awww @ Luna
Happy birthday Olaf,still!
Rumball is so tolerant of his goofymother.
Luna looks so prim and proper
jerseygirl – Rumball looks absolutely adorable! And that cute little hood!
Az – Pretty Luna, she looks so comfy. It looks like orthopedic memory foam? Lucky bun!
“Just pet a little more to the left mom…ahh nice.”
The Alf loves a good scratch.
The Alf also loves this cardigan, possibly because it makes me seem more “furry”.
Awe, thank you all for Olaf’s birthday wishes! I told him he had lots of friends around the world.
Rumball and Luna look so cozy in their warm jackets and floofy beds.
Alf is so handsome! His body coloring makes it look like he’s wearing a cardigan as well!
I should be in bed! My eyes are bleary. But I want to post these pictures as it is Maple’s 2nd anniversary since she passed. So I’ll leave you with this sweet face.
Miss you, Sweet Girl!
Jersey, she was beautiful! Such a pretty little face!
Maple was so beautiful! What coloring is that? She reminds me of a siamese cat pattern.
My mom knit Thor a stuffed hedgehog, I think she is enjoying her new “grandchild”
Cautious meeting:
Followed by some *ahem* dominance displays
Now they seem to be good friends!
Thor was really aggressive to other rabbits in the shelter so she was adopted out to us as a no-bond. This is encouraging though, maybe someday we can get her a real rabbit friend she gets along with!
HJ – Alf looks like he’s in the zone .
Jersey – Maple was a pretty bun. Thank you for sharing.
TB – If Thor accepts him, then you have to name him .

Maple was so beautiful! What coloring is that? She reminds me of a siamese cat pattern.
I know. Very much like the cats. I think the colouration is called Sable Point (though it could be Seal Point). But “pointed” rabbits do have the siamese cat look. There is also Siamese Sable which I used to get mixed up with. Those rabbit are darker overall but have even darker points (feet, muzzle, ears, tail)
This is acually the pic I wanted to share but I couldnt find it for the life of me last night! It shows her lil pigeon-toed paws.
Alf has some very handsome gold ticking in his coat!!
Kisses for Luna. I love pics like that.
Az, Im coveting that plush bed. I wish I could give one to my bunnies but I fear it would get chewed up. : ( p.s. Luna has the crazy face lines that Rumball and TimTim both get!
ThorBunny, that hedgie is cute!!! And Thhor passed out next to it after “dominating” it is too funny!
teeheehee Love the toeses
Maple was such a pretty girl.
When we took on Gina, she was def a no-bond bun, yet eventually she calmed down and was then happily bonded to Podge, so I would say there is always hope!
Oh my goodness, Maple! What a dear little girl. I’m sorry for your loss, jerseygirl. Rumball looks so much like my bunny Ragnar (RIP little Rags, I miss your floofy face.)
And a very happy birthday to Olaf!
I am audibly chortling about Thor and his hedgehog. He has quite the doting grandmother!
Luna looks very regal on her new bed. I have been debating whether to get one for Alfie, but because he has become so enamoured with one of the flokati rugs my dad bought for me in Greece I think he’d probably ignore it. He has claimed the lounge room as his own and it’s the only room in my house that is carpeted (this is not a problem because he is very well mannered and only ever goes to the loo in his box, thankfully) so he seems pretty content with the floor and the assortment of rugs.
Recently the Alf has decided that his dining room of choice is next to where I stack my musical gear when it’s not in use; he’ll pick up his kale/cabbage/spinach/basil/bok choy/celery and hop over to one of the amps before tucking in. In another thread I mentioned that he is quite partial to metal, maybe he wants to join the band!
“All that munching is hard work!”
I should have had these up days ago, but I did only cut the corflute for the shelves today.
Here’s the somewhat before image. (After I added the extra grid height, before I added the shelf etc).
My apologies for the fur-laden fleece, it was meant to be changed four days ago… but you know, life.
Cage overview with the installed bunny ledge, exterior shelving next to my desk (left) and the roof and lid support beams making the roof not sag.
The black beam is aluminium and supports the roof. Small wooden beam at the front to keep the door from falling in through the opening
My side shelves, with corflute that I didn’t tape together at the corners
Door flipped up to show how the beam supports it if I just want to open it part way like this
Awesome bunny ledge. Both bunnies have been on it (got it on film) and I know one of them was up there overnight on Sunday because I heard the keys being thrown around. But I haven’t seen them on it since.
That is one imposing bunny condo! It looks like those support beams helped. Any new add-ons to Dory’s hangout?
Tokki now has about half the living room to himself he is not spoiled at all
Thanks Luna The plush bed that I got I don’t think is memory foam, but a similar sort of feeling. Haven’t really added anything new to Dory’s play stand. Just been rotating through toys but she doesn’t seem terribly interested in toys while on her stand.
JG, Maple was gorgeous, such a sweet little face Regarding the bed, I’m lucky that I have the ability to lock my buns up away from it. I wouldn’t trust them to have it in their cage, but they never try to eat it/chew it in the playpen. Perhaps if you only put the bed in for them at certain times of day when you’re home? Luna and Apollo are both moulting again, so those lines are changing all the time at the moment.
Hazey Jane, I just love Alf’s big ears
Charliegirl that setup looks great The area my pair have takes up half the lounge room too!
Swoon, they’re both gorgeous! And I love the helicopter ears
Hi Barney and Banks !!! His aeroplane ears certainly are “banking round” to the right, to the right, RIGHT I said !!!!
Charliegirl – I didn’t even see him at first lol. (waving to him in the far back)
The Harshes – Hi! Barney and Banks are adorable. Are they bonded yet?
Banks’ ear dropped in March is was a shock!! when she gets cuddles they both go down. Charliegirl- We are currently trying to bond them – half hour each day. Ive actually posted in the bonding forum as we are a little confused to their behavior :/
Took this one the other day
Just for Vienna
Banks is sooooo gorgeous – I have a massive soft spot for all black bunnies
Q’y –
Welcome to Barney and Banks! Such gorgeous buns!
Q8, the pictures of your Chewie are KILLING me! I laughed out loud at ‘Lord Snooty’ and spat tea all over my keyboard.
HJ: I hope your keyboard’s ok
OBM: Oakley looks as soft as a cloud
Harshes- How does Banks DO that with his/her ears?!
As for over here, I don’t want you folks thinking Patton had died or anything, so have a new pic!
Jeez… I knew the kids’ shoes can sometimes be pretty stinky, but it looks like it was too much for Patton!!
Those passed-out ears!
LOL, I’d swear he’s stuffed and you take him down off the shelf to take a pic and fool us all Love the pic ^_^
Okay so we totally laughed out loud at Lord Snooty and Passed out patton.
Barrett – Banks can perk it up when she wants to but it just dropped one day and we were just like ‘okay this changes what we think about your personality you furry badger’
Hah!! Paton looks like a small fuzzy rug

My American Chinchilla had broken cartilage in his ear so one ear was always kinda down similar to that. His name was Winston and it was like he was doing Churchill’s “V” for victory sign
Thor- we have learned in this house to walk slowly around the front door. That may not be a shoe or slipper you are about to step on!!
LORD SNOOTY. I can’t handle it.
Olaf has been a Snores-a-lot Bear. Steals half the couch sometimes.
Oh come on Barrett – you’re telling me Patton does not have a field day with the laces, rubber sports shoes, roller blade plastic….?!?:!
Or does he just like wallpaper !!! LOL
Lord Snooty is one of the most famous characters from the comic paper ‘The Beano’ – which I grew up on..! And Chewie’s nose in the air just said it all!!
And the Beano is the comic – here is my only claim to fame – in which I got STAR letter one week (yeeears ago) and won a Dennis the Menace jumper – which i have never worn (black and red stripes and faaar too big even now) and which I still have !!
Olaf can’t steal that which is already his
Vienna: Sounds like a Where’s Waldo jumper that MUST be worn
Ah but “Where’s Wally” (uk) or “Ou est Charlie” wears a red and white striped one…. not at ALL the same thing….

Whenever I look at Olaf’s nose, I think of a Koala!
First Bunny flop ive seen from Little Radagast…..must trust me enough now
Groot, Radagast, and Gandolf say hello
Barrett, you’ve been neglecting us with photos and updates of Patton! But that flop photo makes up for it. Classic.
The flip-flop photo also gave me a chuckle. Least he made it even all the way around. It could be a new look.
Oh Olaf, you have powers you may not be aware of. You make people swoon and want to snuggle down there with you.
Hello Groot, Radagast and Gandolf! What an adorable fluffle!
Radagast looks so cute!! I remember when I was worried that Patton hadn’t flopped yet. Funny now, considering how he’s constantly flopping!
I’ve noticed that we have a peculiar form of tax man in our home. When Daddy comes home with the groceries at night, the tax bunny drops whatever he’s doing and bolts for the kitchen. As I begin putting the groceries (lots of fresh veggies), tax bunny comes in and takes a 10% cut of whatever vegetables I bought that night.
Sing it with me now, ” ‘Cause I’m the tax bun! Yeaaaaah I’m the tax buuuuuuuuun. And you’re working for no one but me…”
Barrett. That flipflopthongsandal!!! Oooops. Rofl.
He is looking a fine adult bun! Makes me think Henry is a tad on the chunky side….
And that trio fluffle!!! Just lovely!!!
Muuuum!!! The door’s not big enough!
Haha! But he’s sure gonna try. Go Latte!

Muuuum!!! The door’s not big enough!
LOL but it will be in about 30 minutes!
This is not my bun but I had to share this seeing as it is one of the cutest things I have ever seen!! <3 <3
Trying to multitask this morning during Wick’s naptime, haha!

Love the name Moose He’s a cutie!
Aw! I love the name Moose! It reminds me of my favorite Dr. Suess book “Thidwick, the big hearted moose” Its a sweet one if you haven’t read it
He looks like a loveable loaf!

Csoehnge did you get them all to bond in the end??!
No…I was trying to get a picture of Groot and then the other two but they only sat still when all together. Groot and Gandolf acted like it was a reunion lol but I just got Radagast neutered recently so I was doing a little stress bonding with the other two which helped. They are all doing well with no stress but I wanted one pic of all together before completely taking Groot away.
Love the name Moose
Oh, Latte…
Heres some new pics of bandit
He’s such a handsome guy
I just got Chewie a bundle of willow sticks like Bandit’s. He tore into it last night and decided it’s a tossing toy rather than a chewing toy.
Awww thanks! I haven’t read it, I’ll check it out! He is definitely a loveable loaf!

Holy cow, Wick! You have the Nintendo switch? It is sold out everywhere here!
Bandit is adorable
Aww, what a lovely little rascal!
@Reesebun – Yeah I got the last one available for order online for my area, haha. It was pricey, equal to two Wick vet visits, but since Wick has been healthy and hasn’t gone in a while, it seemed justifiable since I budget for the weekly vet visits, hehe

Aww, all these buns are so adorable! Chom recently finished his molt and he’s looking a little bit more regal now.. before, he had quite a few molt lines that made him look permanently angry
@cinnybun – That reminds me of Thor’s last molt. Here is a (fairly horrible quality) picture with her “Evil Super-Villain” eyebrows
File this one under “Bad Bunny” or “Bunny fights back”.
We went out on a staycation to a local hotel (literally a few minutes away) on Saturday afternoon- Sunday afternoon for Mother’s Day. The kids love playing in the pool and my wife loves the family adventure.
Aaaaanyway, I came back to the house last night around 10pm to check in on Patton and give him more food.
SOMEone turned out the lights just before we left the house, so the house was dark! Turned on the lights and found Patton in the front room (not one of his usual hangouts) but he was in the faint light of the street light, curled up with his front feet sticking way out. Then I went to the kitchen and discovered he had NOT TOUCHED his food since that afternoon. I refreshed his veggies and carried him to the kitchen. He gladly ate it up.
I apologized for being gone, gave him more veggies and left the light on as I left.
Came back this afternoon and he had eaten everything and was waiting for us at the front door when we walked in. All is well!
But then I found his litterbox downstairs! Apparently, his choice for protest was to dig out his litterbox and scatter the contents across the floor!
I’m sorry Patton! I’m sorry!!!
(This is especially worrisome because I am going out of town for over a WEEK next week to take the family to Japan. They stay for 2 months, I come back after one week.
Oh wow. Somebun is very… expressive!
I assume you’ll have someone attending to him in your weeks absence. Surely this will help if his routine is followed. He obviously misses his humans though. Leaving him one of your shirts maybe?
Perhaps the place was too quite for him also? You could have the pet sitter put the TV or radio on occasionally so he has a sense that the family is about.
I think you might have more trouble when the rest of the family returns after 2 months! Patton would have had you all to himself and might not want to share you again.
The staycation was a great idea!!! Looks like Patton had a party of his own too.

Yeah, Patton did his remake of “Risky Business” while I was gone. “Just take those old records off the shelf…”
I will discuss this further in May chat as I don’t want to hijack the pictures thread.
Yeah, Patton did his remake of “Risky Business” while I was gone. “Just take those old records off the shelf…”
omg, the visual I now have! Lol !!
Oh dear… I can imagine that he’s upset, but he has quite the way of making that clear I hope that it will help if a pet sitter or family drops by daily, and maybe you could have Skype calls so that he can hear your voice, or voice recordings?
My former parents in law had an aging cat who also protested against them going on vacation. Even if they had a sitter, she’d pee all over their curtains (the cat).
Bas dropped by for a quick visit, hadn’t seen him since thursday because he went LARP’ing. The LARP turned out to be a great success and everyone loved the costume that I designed and made for this LARP. Many of my other creations from the last 2 years were also used in key roles this weekend, so even if I wasn’t there, my best work was ^_^
I got a huge deal on apricots last week (3 kg for €9), so I can definitely bake 2 apricot vlaaien and have some apricots to snack on as well. Bas picked one out of the bowl on the table, and was promptly corrected by Breintje. Where do you think you’re going with that tasty snack mister? He even put his paw on his hand to have a bit more control over the situation.
Afterwards we decided to trim his nails a bit, and Breintje took it like a man: feeling darn sorry for himself and whining all the time afterwards He laid next to me on the couch completely flat, and was clearly signaling: I need pettings and comfort now!
Cinnybun: for your handsome chocolate bunny
Barrett: Aww… poor guy… Alone in the Dark Although I too now have a crazy image of Patton sliding across the floor in socks undies shirt and sunglasses
Ellie: He’s a pint sized ball of cuteness. Did he smell like apricots afterwards? Were you tempted to bite him?
Awe, Patton! He loves his family.
Breintje eating an apricot is everything.
An Olaf camouflaged in Olafs.
Where’s Olaf?
Breintje that’s cute! The paw!!! Like he’s pulling a lever on a vending machine that produces apricots.

Awe, Patton! He loves his family.
I forgot to mention that after we got home, the girls and my wife laid down on the floor in the front room because they were just too exhausted being in the pool all day. Right away Patton ran straight to them and got right in the middle!
Then when my wife was laying on the sofa last night (still tired), Patton jumped up on her which he almost never does. 24 hours was too long for him! LOL
Aww… he was charging his cuddle batteries, the little snugglebun
Whoops, guess I can’t post pictures here yet =( [edited by jerseygirl to add photo]
Ellie – Thor does that paw holding thing too! Too cute, I will have to try to get a picture. She only does it for carrots
THE PAW! So adorable
@Winter: Ive added photo in for you. It’s a great shot!!

Amazing shot Winter! That’s really a one-in-a-million!
That’s a gorgeous Hollander rabbit Rob What’s his/her name?
Dohhh! There is a surprisingly adorable troll under that bridge
Squeeeeeee! love love love
Thor bun is adorable
Troll toll! Am I being scary now? Okay, pettings and squees are accepted, but the toll remains… Paid in carrots if you please!
Awww, buns holding your hand is the new standard of ultra-cute ^_^ She looks absolutely stunning with that glossy black fur!
TB – Thor says “Thanks I can take it from here…release the carrot!”
Somebunny likes playing outside
Jake looks so regal with the sun shining down on his little head .

Somebunny likes playing outside
Well he’s gorgeous!
Cute, Bookworm!
After a long hard day of flopping, eating, and the 5-minute dash, Patton assumes position for petting.
Barrett – Adorable . Is the fireplace his favorite spot?
Yes, because when I’m reading on the sofa, it’s the perfect position to be pet!
Lol, smart bun. Very strategic.
Heheh… too cute
Great pic, love the thinking behind that
Too cute! He’s using the ledge to hang his ears off
Yesterday was close to 90F and the a/c decided to quit working. Luna has never seen ice cubes before and she loved it when I gave her one, but it turns out one cube at a time isn’t her style…
Yay Luna! Maybe I should try that on Patton! He loved popsicles which surprised me.

Aw, Luna! That looks like a nice cold ball pit
Luna cracked me up Adorable!
Hehe, lovely pic of Luna. Is there some arctic hare blood in your family tree dear?
I weighed Breintje this morning, and here he is our handsome fellow! “Am I sexay yet? I do so hope to be ready before beach season comes around!”
It’s progressing nicely, you’re officially no longer fat but only floofy
OBM – I love how his ears are dark now.
Ellie – Too cute! Breintje, I didn’t know you were trying to lose weight – congrats!
He was on a strict diet 1,5 years ago, but he’s slimmed down nicely. Nowadays I still weigh him regularly and adjust his diet accordingly. 1,25 kg would be his optimal weight, and he was 1,6 kg two years ago. It’s still a bit heavy for a Nethie, but we suspect that he’s not a full dwarf. His head is normal for a dwarf, but his body is slightly too large.
Overall he’s quite a hungry bunny and we have to watch his pellet intake closely. He became a lot hungrier after his neuter, which was to be expected. Neutered buns have a tendency to put on weight because their hormones change. Because rabbits are so fluffy it can be difficult to see if they’re obese. We went to the vet because he often had a messy bottom. She weighed him, and told us: no wonder, he can’t even reach his own bottom! Yikes!!! Just when you think you’re doing everything to care for him properly 0.O
He lost most of the weight within a year, and we’re still monitoring it often now. He looks a lot happier now, no more smelly bottoms and he’s also more physically active: climbing, jumping and binkying.

Ellie, that’s quite surprising, though I guess it makes sense! I tend to think of bunnies as always healthy because they eat only vegetables, but I guess any pet can become obese. I need to start paying attention because I’ve already noticed that Patton eats SO much!
As for the General, I got another pic for the thread.
“Birds of a feather flop together!”
OMG that’s so adorable!
Lol !!! Brilliant!
If you can get the four “kids” lined up in length with Patton being at the small end….. that wld be one cooool photo…!!
so cute
Barrett – LOL, that pic is awesome
Wick having his second, medication-free day since he was 10wo! Every time he sneezes,. I get paranoid, but he seems to be doing fine without antibiotics so far!

So much adorableness in this thread!!! Breintje is killing me with that look, “How DARE you!!!”
Busy doing some remodeling, obviously the stupid human didn’t make the holes big enough…
“There, I fixed it.”
GOOD FOR YOU, WICK! Hang in there!
Posted By Barrett on 5/19/2017 12:42 PMEllie, that’s quite surprising, though I guess it makes sense! I tend to think of bunnies as always healthy because they eat only vegetables, but I guess any pet can become obese. I need to start paying attention because I’ve already noticed that Patton eats SO much!
Our former vet always said: “In my experience rabbits are so good in storing fat, they can technically get fat from eating too much hay.” Not surprising if you think about it: in nature they would need to have a hyper-efficient digestive system, as their food sources are very low in energy (grass, herbs, flowers, the occasional vegetable garden they encounter). Leafy plant matter has very complex carbohydrates: long molecules which are extremely difficult to break down into simpler carbohydrates and eventually into glucose (blood sugar). Bacteria in their digestive system help with this conversion, but the conversion can take a long time and isn’t 100%. This is why rabbits and other herbivores have to regurgitate their food, or have to eat their own droppings: to get as much out of their food as they possibly can.
If a rabbit is fed a lot of carbohydrates which are easier to digest (starches, flour or even sugar), it’ll likely be too much for their system. It’s very logical that the bacteria in the rabbit’s digestive system will go wild, causing bad bacterial overgrowth. And because of the sudden influx of massive amounts of glucose, it is stored as fat to try and keep blood sugar levels normal. It definitely wouldn’t suprise me that rabbits who’re continuously fed the wrong diet may develop obesity and maybe even diabetes.
@Patton’s pic: I guess you could say the family time moment was a complete flop…
@Wick: aww look at you, you little cutie! Congrats on your second day off AB’s, may you continue to be healthy, strong and absolutely adorable!
@Hazel: Hehehe, extreme home make-over bunny style. I love how much time and dedication they can throw against it. Sometimes out bun keeps it up for half an hour. Preferably when I’m making an important phonecall…
Cynthia’s first salad. I know these treats should be given sparingly and in small quantities but this is a one time thing. She has been sick for a while and undergone multiple rounds of treatment. She is now on oral antibiotics twice a day and very stressed out from the whole process. I figured she deserved a nice treat <3 As you can see she is relaxing here and flattening out
(((Cynthia)))
It’s a good job its not winter Silly Gina
Get well soon (((((Cynthia))))) It’s always nice to see them flatten out
GJ, Gina looks like she’s a painting. Amazing fur!
boston hates monday mornings
(((Cynthia))) What a sweet looking bunbun.
Gina! You must’ve been a mountaineer in another lifetime
Boston… I hear you buddy, I hear you…
awwwwwwwwwwww Boston sooooo cute
I forgot how much I love the picture thread !
Yumi spends a lot of her days cuddled up to me now, and has taken to sucking clothes (weird habit)
After a lot of back and forth, jumping through hoops and running around like a headless chicken, I’ve finally organised for her to meet a shelter bunny tomorrow, who I hope she takes to (for all of our sakes!)
I had hoped that her intense need for company might abate and she might be happy as a strong single bun that dont need no man, but she’s actually just been getting more invested in our bond, which is cute for me to see, but not healthy for her.
The shelter is a bit away away from me (I have to get the train and a bus with her) ,and they will only let her meet one bunny in a day, so I tried to pick the one I thought would be the most easy going-seeing as she can be a stroppy little mare sometimes.
hope all goes well
Snuggle bun! She looks so soft. Good luck tomorrow Yumi .
Aww… sweet little cuddlebug. I so want to give her a little hug.
Awe, good luck Yumi! Olaf is rooting for you.
Squeee! *grabs Olaf and runs*
@Shiver_Rose: Get well soon Cynthia and enjoy your snack!
@Gina.Jenny: Wow, she really is a stunner! I love the cinnamon colouring How did she manage to get picture-perfect fur like that? *looks at Breintje who looks like he’s stuck in perpetual moult now*
@OBM: I totally get you Boston, but we humans have to go to work and such to buy you lots of toys and treats
@Dface: Awww, she looks so adorable! But yes, you’re right: all these cuddles all the time mean that she’ll need more friends. Hope the speed dating goes well and that she finds her Prince Charming
@pinknfwuffy: haha, you’ve just set a standard for Yumi and I don’t think it can be topped. I just hope she doesn’t see Olaf’s pic before the date tomorrow and decides that no other bun is as handsome
It’s so adorable to see that Breintje is following me around whenever I have a really bad day, I have the cutest nurse of them all! Fysio day again today and it got rough, but she needed to loosen up my shoulder joint again because the muscles were so tight that they were blocking off nerves and blood vessels. The swelling in my hand is finally going away now.
The odd thing is that he seems to notice these things with amazing precision. For instance: he was licking my hand intensely for minutes at a time, really focussing on the left side of my hand. That’s where the nerve pain mostly was. He also doesn’t leave my side on days like these: he’s attentively sitting here next to me as I’m typing, mostly ignoring his evening salad. What did we do right to deserve buns?
Thanks guys!
Especially Olaf!
Ellie-I was thinking the exact same thing! He’s perfect for her (I dont know how Yumi feels about them, but red eyed animals are such a weakness of mine)
Im also very jealous of your attentive little nurse, what a sweet little thing!
I fully believe they know things, Sampras was always kind of happy to do his own thing unless I had back pain(I have slipped and compressed disks in my back ) and whenever they got bad, he’d flop at my back. Only time he’d come over to me.
I guess they are silent creatures who work off of body language for their cues, so it would make sense that they can read us back after a while!
Awe, Olaf would love to be Yumi’s new friend. If only BB was also the Dating Game for bunnies! Red eyes always woo me, too.
Breintje is so sweet. I truly believe animals have immeasurable sense of empathy, even our long-eared friends.
Some more pictures. This time with Barney and Banks together as they and us try and work out if they are friends (we honestly don’t know)
Can’t tell if they’re pals, but they sure are cute together
Rabbits can take a while to adjust to eachother, and may occasionally fight to figure out their hierarchy. They look like they’re getting along so far
The kids and my attempt at a oakley shaped birthday cake for my wife this morning
OMG Gina looks just like my Bunston ((RIP))!
And similar in personality too, he was quite the climber!

OMG OBM, that’s a beautiful cake!!
More greetings from Vienna Blue-not-currently-in-France-but-on Tenerife. She’s seeing bunnies everywhere!
Sterling!
Luna!
Bruno!
This bunny didn’t want his pic taken, so he’s hiding
That is too funny! *waves* Hi Vienna! I hope you’ve been giving them all nose rubs
Great pics VB
With a UK heatwave going on, I put the buns out at 5am this morning, in some of the longest, shadiest grass in the garden. They had loads of fun jumping in and out of the grasses. I bought them in just before midday, as our back garden becomes a suntrap in the afternoons, which is great in winter, not so great in a heatwave. I think Snickers was still jumping around in the grass in her dreams, her nose was twitching and the paws were too…
Sweet girl
Awww, how cute! Dreaming of playing in the grass…
Here’s a selfie” from Vienna
(Just to explain to those that don’t know why I’m posting Vienna’s pix: Our member Vienna Blue In France is on vacation and can’t post her pictures on BB due to some technical something. So she sends me the pix, I post them for her.)
Just my luck to take a flight to go sun seeking when that very same week there is a heatwave at home…..
Big snores for Snickers! All tuckered out.
Hi, Vienna! Spiky-green rabbits on the loose.
I feel like 99% of my pictures of Olaf are taken on the back of the couch.
Baby keys are his everything. I need to buy a case of them.
GJ – That’s so cute, Snickers had so much fun playing she tired herself out.
Bam – Vienna is much greener than I imagined .
Pink – Every king has a throne.
Olaf snookums! Such cute pictures! Cousin Chewie says baby keys are awesome and second only to his mini beach ball.
Awww, I love the pic of him on the ground. Must be the first time I saw a pic of him sitting down. These baby keys are the cutest thing ever! Get as many as you can, clearly this bunny wasn’t born to have a low-key lifestyle! ^_^
Introduced this pair in the bathtub (the hot weather is killing me I can only imagine what it’s doing to this pair of fuzzballs-i’ve been giving them ice packs to lie beside to try keep them cool, but then remembered how cool the bath tub might be..)
Despite some stamping humping and giving out initially, both parties were happy to groom one another for about 10 minutes once they calmed down.
It’s good to see them getting on but it’s kind of bittersweet. A large part of me misses Sampras more than ever. I don’t think I was particularly ready for a new rabbit, certainly not for all the steps involved in bonding…especially the need to re-educate them in the ways of the litter tray!!
Their faces in that second picture!
Thanks, Ellie! When I try to snap one when he’s on the go, it’s always a floofy blur. Rare opportunity.
Dface, Peep looks like a photoshopped Yumi with the brightness turned up! ;]
The floof is outrageous. So glad to hear they are getting on pretty well so far. I’m sorry it is resurfacing some sad feelings, too. Remember that you’re doing it not to replace a part of your heart, but to give Yumi a healthy life with a new companion.
Best of luck with your two pygmy puffs.
Adding my fluff to this thread of adorable!
Dface. They is CUR-UTE with a capital Q !!!!! (That’s “cute”! Lol)
Dface & Ryn – Fluffy cuteness!
Oh my goodness, Dface, that is adorable.
Ryn, is your bun a french angora? Satin angora? Do you cut down her wool yourself or do you have to take her somewhere?
Loving the big fluffy thumpers!
Well, the weather here is getting a bit grey. Time to rug up.
The black & white shows up the face furrows he has at the moment.
Shedding time as you can see from state of his fur and the blanket. I’ll have to cut blanket up I think.
Keeping cool in the heat Jenny beats up frozen water bottles
Grey bun bonanza!
Wick can’t hold his flops. Ever. : 6 sec. Video

Jersey. Rofl. You do realise converting a grey bun into a b&w photo makes him…. grey…. rofl.
Haha lololol. (Except for in 2nd piccie his nose twitch is closed not open )
Gina. It’s “MiniZou” !!!
Haha, yeah. I actually did it b&w as it made the image look a bit sharper. That one was a bit unfocused. But I do like it change my horange floors too.
Lil Wick! That was so cute! He looks great too.
Yes, your horange floors are no longer horange…..

Ryn, is your bun a french angora? Satin angora? Do you cut down her wool yourself or do you have to take her somewhere?
She’s a Satin Angora (apparently a copper agouti). This time I just trimmed her down myself but I am planning to brush and pluck her in the future so I can collect all the gorgeous wool.
Ryn- She is stunning! I’d live to see her with a full coat of floof
Wick-that flop attempt. Im melted !!
Peep was an outdoor bun when I got him…but I think he’s adapted to the hardships of indoor life
Creature of comfort
Somebun needs to re-explain comfort to Jenny
Its not as if there wasn’t room side by side, as they were side by side earlier in the day
aww GJ so cute
Dface- adorable little peep
Wick- omg I have never seen any thing like that (I thought he was having tremors at first).
Blue Moon – haha yeah. Wick can’t flop properly. He puts too much gusto in the motion and just falls haha

This is AJ with full floof at the beginning of this month. I can’t believe how much she’s grown already and how her colouring has changed.
Talk about floof! She has to be the fluffiest bun I’ve seen in a while. Gorgeous ^_^
She looks like a cloud!
