Wow what does she do when she predicts them? She’s so dang smart, I bet she doesn’t sense them, the way normal animals do, but she’s reading complicated meteorlogical and geological data!!

How many has she predicted so far? I seem to remember she did one not so long ago. Hopefully it will not be a real shaker. Stay safe cause I believe her.

04/18/2008 10:08 AM [script removed]Alert  So far today (from midnight to 9am), California has had 14 Earthquakes that were over 1.0 Magnatude. There have been 666 earthquakes over a 0.5 magniude in the California/Nevada area in the last week. We don’t consider it worth noting until it reaches 3.0 (13 of these in the last 7 days, 7 of which in CA). But you do have to remember that California is a big place so it’s not like NY getting hit with that many. As I have mentioned elsewhere, Maryann has ‘predicted’ 5 out of 8 of the ‘big shakers’ within 48 hours prior to their happening with a specialized thumping routine she does in her cage. It is said that animals can sense the vibrations of the quakes as they begin to build – before we feel them.   My bonding quest with Maryann – Read about a less than easy bonding with two buns – but they did bond!

There was a 2.0 4 miles away that happened an hour after she predicted it.

She does a type of double thump when she’s predicting it. Again,it’s hard to describe it from being different from just another thump. It is one of those things that only you know something is up with your pet.

I tried to get a picture of Maryann chewing up a picture of George W. but she took one bite and threw up.

Seeing as how buns can’t regurgitate, I figured it was best that I abandon that photo spread…

Has anyone here heard of the supposed ex-geological survey scientist who’s come up with the theory that if you just check the lost ads and the moon phases you can tell when a big one’s going to hit? Apparently the animals start disappearing and the lost classifieds blossom right before a quake. (Think of the animals who split before that tidal wave in the South Seas a few years back), also if the moon is full and the tides are overly high, that puts stress on the system as well and usually triggers seismic activity.
This guy got booted from the USGS for this theory. Probably because he was right. ~_~
He and Maryann should get together. ^_^ What a team they’d make!

Well that is dumb to get rid of that guy.   Yeah Maryann can you find him and call him up?    I got a few words to say about ol GW too but I will restrain myself.  Poor Maryann.
