Olly has lived with us now for about three months now. I had Olly neutered just over a month. But he seems to still spray and drop poop everywhere. I live in a small two bedroom apartment so it’s all carpeted so I follow him around with vinegar and water to wipe down the carpet if he decided to spry so the place doesn’t smell bad.  I place a big sheet of plastic in front of Scampers cage cause he sprays there a lot to stop it from getting on the carpet. And same around cookies cage. He sprays and poops no matter if he near the other rabbits or not. He just dose it more around them.

We tired the water  bottle, we have even tried Telling him litter box and chase him back to his litter box but I feel bad about that cause he is a skittish rabbit so I don’t want him afraid of us,

So dose anyone have any idea on how to discourage his spraying????….my boyfriend is starting to get frustrated, and I just want everyone to get along.

You just might want to limit his run space and if his habits improve, then give him a little more space to run. It sounds like he is playing the territory game now. Do you let the others out and do they mark the same spots?

We have tried a smaller area, he still marks and then all he dose is lay around dosn’t do much. We have even tried leaving him in his cage, even got him a dog create so he can go in and out  on his own so he feels safe. Plus he dosen’t really like hands on attention so this way when play time is over to put him back in the cages its less stressfull on him and us.

Cookie right now plays in the hallway she is still very small and there are too many hiding places for her in the living room.

Olly and scamper mark in different places. Scamper is beside Olly’s cage or in front of the rats cage. I think thats more a game for scamper then anything. Olly marks pretty much anyware.  Mostly in fronts of Scamper cage, which I know is teritory, but in the middle of the living room???….don’t get it. Although he was a bunny we adopeted from someone that didnt’ want him any more. He was kept in a very small cage with a sibling, with a bowl of food and there was no more room for anything else in the cage they only had a litter box when they where out once or twice a week.

if the two bunnies aren’t bonded, it sounds like a territory war. If you are seeing them mark in the same place, then it would be a good idea to add extra litterboxes in those places.

When you confined his area – did you also add more litterboxes? generally you leave them in the smaller space until the litterboxing habits improve and then very slowly expand the territory.
