        Hello

My bunny is 7 years old. Last night I noticed a mark on his lip. I spent a few hours looking for a photo I took back when I was worried he had something stuck in his teeth (it was hay😄) and took him to the vet. The vet didn’t say anything about it but it was smaller than it is now. This was about 2 years ago. Other than that he is his same goofy energetic self. He is eating his food, drinking his water, running around and has always loved his hay. So much to the point of getting it stuck in his teeth😆 The first photo is back from Jan 2023

I see the photos, but I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be seeing. Where is this mark?

I think I see a mark on his bottom lip to the right. From the photos, it kind of looks like a freckle.

I’ve not had any experience with those in the buns, but a couple of my cats have those. In fact, my one ginger boy, Kyo, has all sorts of black freckles on his nose that have developed over time. And on his toe beans and along the side of his mouth/lip.

I would assume its possible for bunnies to also have that happen. 🙂

In person, though, if it looks more like a sore than a freckle, it might be good to monitor it and/or consult you vet if it gets worse.

OOOOH! LOL  OK, I see what you’re looking at Brunosmama. He’s broken pattern, so I would say it’s just a spot of darker pigment. At least from these pictures, that’s what it appears to be.
