I just made Fern her first NIC condo today! It has 4 floors, the bottem, two ledges that are two cube peices wide, and a big floor with only one cube peice not there so she can hop into the level (sorry I am a horrible explainer. Also sorry I don’t have pictures yet, I need to get the pictures from the camera to the computer, which means I need my dad’s help once he gets home. Fern has not yet descovered how to go up her ledges. Do you think a cube 14 inches high is too tall for a holland lop bunny that is 2.2lb to jump on? I hope not, because I do NOT want to rebuild the condo. I kept getting frustrated when something did not fit right and I got all stressed so I do not want to go through that again. I made the condo in my living room and then transported it into my bedroom when it was finished and it almost did not fit trough the doorway to my bedroom! My mom and I had to take off my door to get the condo in! It JUST fit through the doorway! I need to get straw mats to help her not slip while jumping up her ledges. Mabye that is why she has not gone up yet. Well wish me and fern luck on getting her used to her condo!

so the doorway to the next level is only one grid big? that might be a cause of the problem. i think most condos are set-up so there are at least 2 grids open to jump up and down. it may seem to be too small of a space for her to jump thru. that’s my first thought. other than that, it sometimes take them time to become comfortable with the levels. 14 inches high should not be a problem. try putting a healthy treat on the level or place her on the level and let her explore and jump down herself.

OK, where are you guys getting your grids?  I have walked two wal marts, two home depots, and a lowes…and there is not a NIC grid to be found.  I didn’t bother with target since they changed them.

Bed Bath and Beyond has them i think. you might just have to start calling places and asking them outright.

they are not always easy to find. when i was looking initially, i had to search several places, but then i found Target and my prayers were answered (but now… grrr). did you check to see if Target has any of the old boxes left?
