I have a Lionhead male rabbit, around 6 years old. I’ve had him for 2 years. (He’s a rescue, so exact age is unknown) He lunges at my hand every time I go to fill his food bowl. He has never bit me, but what does this behavior mean? He also never wants to come out of his cage and roam the house. If I take him out he hides under the dining room table.  He is somewhat ok with snuggling for a short amount of time.

Not an expert, but I do know that rabbits will lunge at you if you invade their territory or stick your hand in their cage. That’s possibly why he does that. Is he neutered? As they do tend to be more territorial if they are not fixed. If he doesn’t want to come out of the cage, maybe he’s just scared? This hasn’t happened to me so I don’t really know what you should do, sorry
