When I move my hand towards my rabbit he lunges at it, smells it for a second, then lays back down for pets. Wondered if anyone else’s rabbiy does that.

Bun Jovi does this, I think he is just very excited for pets! It took a minute to get used to, as at first I thought he was being defensive of his space, but he puts his head right down for pets. He can’t see that well, so that might have something to do with it.

How long has this been going on for?? My bunny did this for a few days after being spayed..she’d lunge at my hand when I went to pet her, give me a little bite at my finger ( I have mechanic hands so they smell funny and are tough) I figured she was just perturbed about being spayed..but it stopped after few days. She always did accept the cuddles after the lunging thing, like yours did
