I have noticed last night that my rabbit has a small lump under his chin. You cannot see it as its slightly underneath his chin and covered in fur. Has anyone experienced anything like this with their bunny. I have an appointment with the vets but just wondered if anyone could tell me if I should be worried?

Lumps and bumps on a rabbit should always be checked out by a ver, so it’s great you’ve made an appointment. Some lumps/bumps are harmless, some are serious.

A lump under the chin could be related to a dental problem. It could also just be a small sore that has become infected so a small abscess has formed or it could be scar tissue that has formed when a wound has healed.

Its difficult to not worry about your rabbit, but this could really be one of many things, so dont let your thoughts run away with you.

Is he eating, drinking and pooping and behaving normally?

We’d be very interested in updates when you’ve been to the vets. Many lump-vibes for your bun!
