Love is in the air!

So! I picked today to do nail trimming and fanny cleaning because my boyfriend is off from work. I’ve yet to cut their nails on my own because I’m scared of hurting them and I don’t want them to hate me. I decided to start with Fritz because, well, I thought he’d be the worst since he doesn’t seem to like me very much

Anyway, I had my boyfriend sit on the bed with the towel in his lap, placed Fritz on top and covered his eyes. I was able to clip ALL toes without a single problem awesome! So we’re sitting there talking about how great he did when Rick suggests we bring out the new baby bun we got a few weeks ago.

So I let the baby out, sprinkle a few treats on the bed, and then magic happend. At first they ignored eachother, sniffing once in a while. Then Fritz got super close to the baby’s face (my palms were sweating, I was so nervous) and to my suprise he started to lick the baby’s eyes! The little one actually shocked us by humping Fritz’s face for a couple minutes, but it turned out amazingly well. They’re cuddling and taking turns licking each other’s face as I type this

I’m not sure what turns this relationship will take but I think I’ll let them hang out for a while longer and enjoy their run time. I’m happy Fritz is so accepting of the baby – he really seems to be in love. He’s normally so scared around us humans and doesn’t like to be pet at all. But to watch him be so gentle and lovey makes me really happy

Never did I expect this to turn out so well! Someday I’ll be able to house the two together, hopefully.

As for Quinn…. maybe SOME day I’ll find her a bun she actually likes.. for now she’ll have to be the diva she is and live the single life!

Well you never do know who they’ll click with. I gather the baby is the White? Somehow I think it’s going to grow to be a big bunny!

Tell me about it! I tried bonding Fritz and Quinn… yeah right.  Quinn is really, really rough with him so I’ll wait until after her surgery to introduce them again..

The baby is the White. You think it’ll be big? The picture might be a little off (my camera died and now I can’t find it T_T )  Fritz is actually bigger then the baby. I think he got scared of my cellphone and flattened out But the bigger, the better! I wanted to get one of the large breeds and was looking at some Flemish Giants on petfinder.  We’re gonna wait til we move, though, for that.

 

I think I’ll just keep letting these two get together at playtime for now. I read that it’s more common for them to struggle with dominance and I was excepting fur to fly but… they were practically making out, lol!  I think what helps is the fact that Fritz is suuupperr submissive.
