I’m super curious about this. I’ve read that some bunnies take forever to bond, whereas some buns fall in love at first sight and are really easy. Have any of you guys experienced this sort of thing? I think it’s super cute and I’d love to hear some stories!

My male bun, Sorrel, seems absolutely enamored with my female bun. They aren’t yet bonded, nor have they met outside their cages and always have a barrier between them, but because of his supposed adoration and habit of watching her/following her back and forth when either one is out and the other isn’t, I’m pretty excited to bond when she’s recovered from her spay surgery.

My two boy buns loved each other immediately. There was never any aggression between them, and they both just groomed each other immediately. I was pretty sure that they would love each other from knowing their personalities, but you can never be sure! Of course, you still have to go through the bonding process and spend time monitoring them together, just to be completely confident that they’re safe to be together.

My two little monkeys had a love at first sight thing going on. Their first bonding session was 4 hours – the first thing they did was boop noses. Then they explored and then groomed themselves, Peanut groomed Buttercup, she flopped and he loafed next to her. That was all within the first 45 minutes They spent the next few hours snuggling.

Put them together the next day and they’ve been together ever since. Me and my partner monitored them for two weeks as we didn’t want to leave them til we were sure they’d established the hierarchy. Peanut humped Buttercup a bit, she used to either run away or demand grooms lol. It took about 10 days before Peanut would stop humping or trying to hump, but as I said, we supervised for a full fortnight.
