So, I’m new here, and I was wondering if you could help me bond my buns. I haven’t been able to get much info anywhere else.
I have a spayed (about 2 months ago) girl, Rouge. I also have a neutered (about 4 weeks ago) boy, Bandit.
I would imagine his hormones are still causing issues. Is this normal after this long? I usually let them out together in the bathroom for short spans, but he still won’t stop humping her and chasing her. I know it is more a sexual thing and not a dominance thing. She never acts aggressively, but she doesn’t want to put up with it. They just spend time going in circles until Bandit gets too tired and lays down. When he stops chasing her she usually just ignores him and sniffs the closest object or grooms. As soon as she moves though he’s back on her tail.
I do think there has been some reduction in his hormonal behavior. He doesn’t hump my hand or spray me with pee anymore when I feed him.
I’d say that’s an improvement. His litterbox skills aren’t any better either though.
Should I be waiting a few weeks more for this? Are there any signs they may bond someday? I’ve been really busy lately and it’s been a great way for them to get in exercise in a short time. By themselves I usually just them them run in another room for a few hours. Rogue is good with her litterbox and and on occation I let her out around the living room for nearly the whole day on my days off.
