Hi and welcome to the BB forums. I’m very sorry you lost your Bobby. We will listen to you. Many of us know how hard it is to cope with the loss of a beloved rabbit. Please tell us more about Bobby, perhaps post a picture of him too.

I moved your post to the Rainbow Bridge section.

hi at the moment i cannot re size his picture but believe me he was a very good looking chap everyone who met him called him handsome bob.to us he wasnt a rabbit he was more like a dog he knew his name and other words. he was always attached to my daughters side wherever she went from the day we got him 16/6/2010 to 26/10/2018.i was his master he let me do anything to him like clean his bottom every day because we had his teeth removed because of them growing awkward he couldnt do it properly himself.he would jump onto the settee to sit with us when he was younger and chill out whenever he wanted.he lived outside in his hutch but he spent most of the time inside with us ,from 2pm till we went to bed 10.30 he was with us.i got up at 5am every day with him before work so he could spend time with me on my lap and preparing his breakfast. when he heared the fridge door open he would be by my side with his paw on my foot.he loved cale, peas, only birds eye though, apple carrot and swine thistle most.i could write a book about him but i wouldnt know when to stop.as i write this tears fill my eyes and my famlies too. i hope it will get easier for all of us at some point but we will never forget him and he will sit proud on our sideboard when we receive his ashes.he was our son for 8 1/2 years and we are all proud of giving him a wonderful life with us. he will be sadly missed every day ,but it will hurt most when we come home from work, days wont be the same without our BOBBY.

Yep. I relate. We all do. Our little girl was just shy of 8 when she passed. We too have her ashes in the living room where I walk past her, stroking her cedar box in the morning and evening, when opening and closing the blinds for the day.

It sounds like he definitely had a wonderful life. You should be proud. You are correct in that things won’t be the same but they get better as I’m sure you know. “Handsome Bob”…I love it. And yes they are so much more than just a rabbit. And they become so deeply entwined in your existence. Thank you for being such people as to give him such a wonderful life. My hope is that you and your family heal quickly and get to where all thoughts of Bobby bring nothing but warm smiling memories. My heart goes out to you…. If you find you are able to it, would be nice to put a picture with his story.

thanks for your kind words of support they mean a lot to us all. here is a picture of HANDSOME BOB or my wife would call him BOBBY DAZZLER. we have many pictures and videos of bobby young and old which bring back happy memories for us all. we now have him home with us were he is resting proud on the sideboard with a photo of him when he was younger.we talk to him morning and night just to let him know we are here for him.I know he is looking down on us all at this sad time but along the way we will get stronger and remember bobby for the fun times and long lasting happy memories.

The words make me cry.  He was a “dazzler” for sure.  No doubt about it…handsome.

I’m so very sorry for your loss.

As Bam, said many of us know exactly how you are feeling. Loving bunnies is very bittersweet.
