Hi, just wanted to mention my website, actually my rabbit’s website http://www.lordthumper.com , you see I first got Thumper a few years ago, he is a big fat white lop-eared spoiled bunny rabbit. He now has 1 wife and 2 hated neighbors. Thumper then became “Lord Thumper” on a message board or two. Now he has his own blog, and he is one disgruntled foul mouthed bunny rabbit. If you even don’t own a bunny it is funny, but you should really laugh if you own a rabbit. Be sure to check it out when you have a chance.

I volunteer for the Long Island Rabbit Rescue Group in my area, I urge you all to vounteer for a rabbit rescue in your area, they need you believe me!

        Jim

Yes, I am like an hour and a half away from the rescue, which is basically a woman’s big basement. She uses her basement as the main rescue HQ with the majority of the bunnies held there until adoption. Amazing, she gives up much of her time and home for bunnies, and she is a doctor. Some people give so much of themselves, pretty awesome.

You like that crown right? I loved the way it came out when I did it in Photoshop.

Yeah I have met some incredible people through rescue work, everyone I meet there has a deep love for animals and of course rabbits in general. I always tell people that bunnies changed my life, evidently caused some serious psychological issues too, from what you can see.

Hi jerseygirl! To be honest, I have a high stress job with a major corporation, so I can’t do nearly as much as I would like. I do a lot of “home visits” where I go out and screen the adopters. Also, I clean the main rescue HQ once a week, been doing that for a couple years now. Sometimes, I can’t make it due to my job paging me or asking to work late, I hate it when that happens, feel like I am letting everyone, and the bunnies down. Can’t help it though, with the job market the way it is I can’t risk losing my job, after all I have 4 kids to raise right?? To me their kids anyway, hey did you know that Fran and Thumps weigh the exact same down to the ounce?! 6.4 ounces, Doc couldn’t believe it. How’s that for identical diet huh?

Whats really funny is that for the first year I had Thumper, he was not free range, he would stay out of his cage most of the day but then be locked in at night. He was soooo funny, he was so litter trained that I would have a wicker basket next to his cage that he would have to hop up onto then walk in his cage. then he would sit in the litterbox looking at us while he did his business. My Dad always says that he should have had a newspaper the way he looked!

But that’s not the funny thing, when I locked him in at night (which he loathed), he would sit there and push his nose up against the bars of the door. After a year of doing this I started noticing that he had a indentation on his nose. Of course, I was scared to death that it was cancer or something, but the doctor said it was nothing. Relieved, that night I took him home and I woke up in the middle of the night and had to use the bathroom, on the way I went to pet him and say hi, he was sitting there with his nose jammed into the door! Ahhaa! I solved the case! Too funny, that Thumper is something else boy.
