I’ve had my bunny for 4 years.. he’s now 6. He used to be a solid colour than weird molting patterns started. Now fur doesn’t even grow back with colour on one side for 2 years now he’s had horrible melting pattern that is not even close to what is consider normal.. why could this be? What would cause this? I will try to add befor and now pictures

Some rabbits will change colour slightly from moults all throughout their lives. It’s no uncommon. If your bunny lives outdoors or spends quite a bit of time in the sun you will also notice coat colour changes as the sun bleaches the old fur over time and the new fur growing in will always be darker/richer in colour. For example black animals with an old coat may be a dark rusty brown colour and will moult out into a fresh black coat.

Otherwise, I suppose it’s possible that it could be dietary related if there’s something missing from his diet. But most likely it’s just the natural progression of his coat. Would be interested to see pictures. If you’re having trouble inserting some there’s a “how to” guide here: https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aft/144934/Default.aspx

He has the same diet as my others. I feed good quality timothy grass mix hay and pellets. Limited green and veggies because he get a messy bum with too much. He’s happy and healthy otherwise.
