Found her in my yard, so cold! No way to return her to the nest.  Kept her warm (initially on my boobs…the only thing they are good for, then with a heating pad).  Got her to rehab on Monday.  Would have loved to raise her myself, but they’re a whole different critter than the newborn puppies and kittens I’ve raised.  Even raised three newborn orphaned zebra finches once, everyone said it can’t be done… challenge accepted!!

        Look at those feets!

So glad you were able to get this baby to a rehab. What a cutie.

Ahhh, what ever squirrel is common in Idaho.

Seen mom a few times.  Put a squirrel block in a hay net so I could kinda get it up the tree.

Today I put out some water and put up an x pen around it so my dogs would stay out.  And, in case she is out in the yard and needs to get into the tree in a hurry, a board bungeed to the pen leading right up to the bark.  She’s the first squirrel we’ve had that didn’t immediately go out in the road and get hit.  I hope she sticks around, I will take care of her.

I’m so glad you found her! I couldn’t make out what kind of animal she was and I felt embarrassed to ask 🤣
