EDIT: I have just found a thread which answers this question very well indeed! I wanted to delete this post to keep the forum tidy, but I can’t see how I can do that? Oh well, if anyone would like to input some more advice or share experiences, that’s great, but having read this other thread, I feel more confident.
I love this site! Thanks Binkbunny.com!

Just a quick question, I wondered if anyone has experience with this.
My four month old bunny, Barnaby broke his leg last week and is now confined to a small cage for two weeks until the wound has healed. He needs my constant attention to massage his foot, administer meds and take him out for regular cuddles! (sorry to those forum members who are familiar with his story. I thought I’d start a new thread as I think this question belongs in the “care” category rather than the “Health” category.)
It’s my sister’s 30th birthday party on Sept 5th and I am due to travel down South to celebrate with her and my family. It’s about a 2 hour car ride max. It means I’ll be away from home for about two days in total. I am thinking of taking Barnaby with me so I can care for him like I am now whilst I am away.
I know that, as a rule, most bunnies hate car rides. Barnaby has been on car journeys to the vets before, but that journey is only 30 minutes. He seems fine during the ride. His heart rate increases slightly, but on the whole, he seems to deal with it ok. My question is, do you think a 2 hour car ride will be too much for my little bun? He is quite a chilled out little bun usually, but I am unsure about doing two 2 hour car rides with him within three days. What do you think?
My other option is to leave him here and delegate his care to my boyfriend. He will happily check on him regularly, but is not overly confident about feeding him his meds, but willl do it if necessary of course. What would you do? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
