My wife and I are in the process of creating a larger living space (52″ L x 28″W) (with the wire cubes) for our bun Linus but we are not to sure if we should include his cage in the space?

By doing so it will change the whole reason to do so besides it has been his “home” (of course within a home) foor 5 mnths.  There will be some more room and we would take off the cage door so he would have free access to go in or out.

        Thoughts?

        Thank you in advance

We have a dog crate that was a bunny cage inside the M&Ms area (3 xpens attached together). We had two in there — one as a bedroom and the other as a kitchen/bathroom. They rarely went in the bedroom one so we took it out, but the kitchen/bathroom one has their litterboxes, hay feeders, and water bottles in it and helps keep most of the mess contained.

If the cage would take up alot of space *inside* the new area, then I wouldn’t put it in there, but if you’re talking about attaching the NIC’s to the cage and providing that much more room, then go for it — the more space the better.
