        Hi everyone,

I just got a new foster rabbit. He’s a dutch boy who was neutered very recently. I noticed as he walks around and does things, he makes noises like quiet grunts. Is that normal?

My Dutch rabbit is very vocal. He grunts, he snores, he snorts. Some rabbits can be more vocal than others. It sounds like he’s been checked out by a vet so if they felt he would have had any upper respiratory problems they wouldn’t have done the surgery…thinking like little snorty sounds.

I found out he was neutered by the vet 3 days ago. Based on what you said, I won’t worry too much about him. I will keep an eye on him though for a while. Thanks so much!

I have a grunting rabbit as well. Anything is an occasion for him to grunt. I bring food — he grunts, I clean the litterbox, he grunts, etc.

mocha hops around grunting when he is out for playtime and he has never had a “real” check up cuz the vet i went to was not good for rabbits so do you think he could have a respiratory problems?
