        Hi Guys

Sorry I have not posted for a while, Diesel was ill again, I noticed he lost his balance a couple of times so i whisked him to a vet and for he has a infection that was attacking his balance. Well after lots of naughty stuff he had to take he is very well not. But it got me thinking. The Vet said his infection could have been carried for a while and one of the signs is him sitting in he wee, Now he loves and i mean loves sitting in his litter tray cleaning and sleeping, he is getting the hang off litter training as well. My question is should I move him out of the tray when he is sleeping so he learns only to use the tray for number ones and twos or should I just leave him be?

          Oh no poor Diesel.

Well, it would not hurt to try moving him – maybe put him in a comfy lambswool cat bed – BUT there is no guarantee he will get up and go the litterbox though to use it if he’s feeling poorly.

But the good thing about these lambswool beds is that they will keep him drier than a towel and you can wash them – I have several of these I use in carriers and I’ve washed them over and over again.

Poor guy – sounds like he prefers the plastic tray – you probably are just going to have to clean it more often if he likes to lie in it.

poor Diesel… i sure hope he starts to feel better. is he still on medication?

what kind of litter do you use in the litterbox? you might try something more absorbent so the top will stay drier, or do a layer of clean hay over the top.

Cotton loves to sleep in his litterbox too.  I am going to have to start changing it more often.  I just put him a bigger dish washing pan in there and took his litterbox with the wire bottom out.  He wasn’t using it but he is using the bigger one.  Speaking of cleaning them i have to do that today to almost all of them.

I change it every time i see a bug wet patch. Was looking for a wire bottom one but could not find one in the uk. Think i am going to have to let him win this one find something that will soak the wee up quickly and change it every day. He is still on this medication. One good thing is he is getting better at being handled now.
