At the top of this page there’s a green banner, and in the 3rd space it says Bunny Info. A menu drops down from that if you mouse over it and there’s a section called Litterbox Training. Check that out to see if it helps you.

I understand your bunny is 7 to 9 months old. Can you tell us if he’s neutered?

Neutering will help tremendously and I highly recommend this.

if he isnt neutered, it will be vary difficult (believe me i know!) i would recommend, as he is old enough, to take him for a neuter, until then you are going to continue to have trouble im affraid, you can try using more than one box, putting treats in the box, switching litters, look at the section that rabbitpam suggested, and get ur bun neutered!

call me part of the chorus, but get that bun neutered! he’ll be happier, healthier and his litter habits will improve. many buns don’t really get litterboxing until after they’ve been neutered.

in the meantime – you could try to add another litterbox and limit his roaming territory until he gets the hang of it. it can also help to sweep up the stray poops into his box daily. and some hay or small treat – like a spring of herb in his box may help encourage him to use it as Kimberley suggested.
