        Hello,

I feel like I’m on here all the time at the moment, I guess that’s what happens with someone new to bunny ownership!

Don’t know if anyone’s read my other post about my nervous boyfriend! I’m trying to cut down on anything that might trigger his asthma, so I can bring Dylan downstairs and they can get to know each other. I can’t find anything other than Timothy or just bog standard ‘hay’ in the local shops (in UK so I think we are slightly less clued up), I am going to order some orchard hay online, but in the meantime have moved the hay to the porch so it’s not so in the house. I was also thinking about getting a covered litterbox, but Dylan is a french lop x giant continental so is going to grow up pretty HUGE! I have seen one for a really good price, it is 56cm x 43.5cm x 37cm. Does anyone else have one of these for their big ‘uns? Is it big enough or should I get handy and make him like an indoor kennel?

Also, in the meantime, Dyl is living in the spare room, it’s probably 10 x 15 foot, and he’s out all day, gave up on leaving his cage lid on after a few days cos he is so good with his litter tray. That’s big enough isn’t it? I try and get at least 2 hours good bunny love in every day, but it’s hard as my boyfriend feels a bit left out if I shut myself away in the spare room when we don’t see each other that often anyway.

Thanks, sorry for the continuous questions! I know I should just go and buy a book but it’s so much more interesting to read other people’s real experiences and funny stories!

        Charlie

Don’t apologise for asking questions. That is exactly what the site and forums are for! With the covered boxes (meaning hooded?) most rabbits don’t like them. I got one as a 2nd box after my doe was used to her own and she did use it with the flap on, but she’d sometimes poop right in front also. Now I just use the bottom half. Storage boxes might be the way to go for Dylan. Cheaper than large litter boxes.
Sounds like he has plenty of room. Is that him as your avatar? If so, hard to believe he’s going to grow so big!
