Maybe you could leave a little of the smelly used litter in the box and mix it with the fresh to keep the smell in the box until he knoes “that” is where he’s supposed to potty.

Yeah, some are fussy about a too clean litter box! Also, could it be that you’ve been in his/her space so he/she feels need to mark with poop after?

Just to clarify:  You clean it then he only pees in it but won’t poop in it?  OR You clean it and he uses it normally, then the next day won’t use it to poop?

Monkey LOVES a clean box. She helps me empty it, and refill it all the time, spreading out her litter just so. I pour it in, she spreads it out. Even helps mix the colors She’s my funny bunny

Bunnies do seem to need to be reminded that the litter box is theirs, and only theirs. Putting a little scoop of used litter from what you’ve just cleaned usually does the trick. Just put some near the front of the box, put a little hay in another corner, and see if she stays in there and uses it more.

When Shawty poops outside the box you can also just throw the poops from outside the box back in which should help encourage your bun to start pooping back inside the box.

What kind of flooring is in your bunny’s cage?

hahah Bunners won’t let his be clean. In fact he regularly gets in the way trying to make sure the darn thing is never empty while I’m trying to clean it out.

I always make sure and leave something behind if he’s napping for just in case though and don’t wipe down his box every time I clean it to make sure he feels that’s his place, especially because we are a one box house.
