Hey everyone! I have a 10 week old mini lop, Daisy. She will sit around and lick my hands or skin. She loves it. She will do it until I move. Is she lacking a vitamin or nutrient and she is trying to get it from me? or what? I bought a salt wheel for her thinking this may be it and she acts uninterested in the wheel. Also, this is a great website. I have found the best answers to my questions here. My mini lop also had the PBS, and I read about that here and I have changed her food and hopefully it will get better. Thanks

Unless you just ate food and it is something she might like she is actually just giving you bunny kisses! She is just telling you that she loves you.

Salt licks are always pretty much unnecessary because they get all they need in their pellets and veggies once they can have them. Most buns though do like the salt lick but i dont know why.

It’s a  great compliment!  She is honoring you by treating like she would another bunny by grooming you.

                Welcome Daisy.

I double ditto what everyone said.  You have a bunny who is affectionate and isn’t afraid of showing it.  Lucky you!  Some bunnies lick a little, some alot, some not at all.    I just love bunny kisses!

I’m glad you were able to find the site helpful with you’re bunny’s PoopyButt.  I hope the information that I used with Bailey helped.  If it continues even after diet changes, be sure to bring her and her poop into the vet so they can analyze it.

Hi Daisy! I’m suuuper jealous my bunnies only groom me on the rare occasion when my fingers smell like apples or bananas!

I actually just posted the same question. Our bunnies’ stats seem to be a little different but it sounds like the concensious is that we’re loved lol. And I’m happy to hear that my little guy isn’t the only one that does this

My bunny licked me A LOT when he was a baby. He still does it on occasion when he get’s a good head rub, but other than that, he seemed to grow out of it. He "grooms" the chairs, carpet, etc. now when I’m petting him. I guess I’m not furry enough?

That’s funny!  Actually when a bunny grooms the chairs and floors next to you, it means the same thing as if he’s grooming you.  He could have tested out the furniture and carpet and realized it tastes better. I know with the lotions I wear, I am surprised I get a lick at all.  It can’t taste very good.

Pepper seems to LOVE the taste of my leave-in conditioner.

She’s also a remote groomer.  I pet her, she licks the table/floor/rug.  It’s cute!
