I have noticed that Harri has a habit of licking the chrome frames of my kitchen chairs. She can sit for ages doing this and I’m beginning to wonder why  Is there something lacking in her diet maybe? She quite a fussy eater, but I do try to make sure she has plenty of food around. Or is it just a funny quirk?

          My bunny’s lick everything!
I think it is a bunny thing.

I have read that buns do not like metal or the smell of oil – yet when I or my J have been out welding, the bunny’s still run up to us and they even lick all of the metal furniture we have made.

The carpet gets way mor lick than I ever will – stupid carpet.

Glad that others do this! Must just be a bunny thing then. Certainly since getting her teeth filed she is eating lots, so she must just like the coolness or something.

Hmmm… yeah. Buns are strange. ;o)

Since you know he likes to lick there, you may want to be careful of what cleaners you use on that area, just in case some residue is still on it.

That’s interesting about Chuck – him having 3 of the 5 senses. Makes me think that licking is just a sensory experience for rabbits. Mine licks strange things from time to time, metal, rough plastic surfaces, velvet fabric,, carpet etc. Maybe it’s a bit like chinning too.
