I have a question to add onto this.  Are all lettuces counted as one veggie?  I buy organic spring mix and give a big handful every night.

Hope you don’t mind -split your topic into a new one

Anyways I’d say organic spring mix could count as three since there is usually more then three in there.

i will usually feed a couple different types of lettuces a day. i think they all have different nutritional values, some are higher in this or that… so they can all work to fill in the gaps in the diet. is spring mix the only thing you are feeding?

I also give Edson organic spring mix and there are several kinds of lettuces, baby chard and some other things in there.  I also give him some parsley and sometimes dill or mint too. He has never had a problem.  He LOVES it!
