Leaf how is Holiday & Fiesta going?

Not sure if Leaf is still on here, I would love an update on how they are going.

Hi again!

I’ve been so busy I’ve hardly had a chance to be online.

They are doing great. They went to the vet, a rabbit specialist, and while it’s too late to do much for their splayed legs the vet fell in love with them and didnt even charge me for the visit.

I’ve moved them out of my bathroom shower stall. They’re in a kiddie pool now and seem to love it.

My problem is bedding. Fiesta has started to chew fabric and puppy pee pads and I worry about him ingesting the material. Right now I have tim othy hay in it as bedding. They both seem to like it but I’m still keeping an open mind about possibilities for them.

The hay gives the bottom a textured surface they can navigate somewhat easier than before since they sink some and get traction.

The only problem is they dont have a “landing pad” above-hay to rest on.

I just bought some material (it’s called vetbed in england) or fakesheep skin here, and made some pillows and blankies…My guys LOVE IT and it’s great for incontinence as it wicks away moisture and you can throw it in the washer…You might try that and see if they don’t chew it!

Glad they are doing good and the vet charged you nothing for the visit, they certainly are a challenge but great that you are up for it.

Would love some more updates in the future on these gorgeous bunnies.

Thats great that the vet was so nice I can tell that those two are definitely little charmers You could consider some sea grass mats in a few different spots for them to chew on, though I don’t know if I’d recommend it for the entire floor because it would probably be a little rough on their stomachs, but it would be something to distract them from chewing on the fabric! I’m glad to hear they are getting around OK. Its too bad that there isn’t much to do for their splayed legs, but they seem like such loveable little bunnies – I’m so glad they founda good home!

I think I’m going to get them the bunny blend bale, the oat bale, and two small straw mats. I’ll get a keychain for myself.
