Frankie is once again being too smart for his own good.

I have a 3-drawered plastic storage shelf by his and the guinea pigs’ cages. I had a ziplock bag full of piggy pellets in the bottom drawer, which Frankie has always been aware of. Yesterday, however, he decided it was time to take action and learn to open that drawer. And of course, being the little brat he is, he succeeded. He kept opening the drawer, and we kept catching him. We finally decided to take the bag of pellets out of the drawer. Apparently Frankie was not too fond of this decision. He opened the drawer again while I was out of the room… Since there was no pellets to be found, he jumped into the drawer and left me a lovely gift… a giant puddle of pee inside the drawer! Wow, Frankie. Ouch.

How on earth is he getting the drawer open in the first place? Did he sprout thumbs??

I haven’t seen him open the drawer but I’ve heard him do it — pretty sure he grabs on with his teeth and does a crazy backwards wiggle until it budges.

That’s a really good description of how it’s done! Mine can open doors that way!

I think you need to set up a little camera to catch him in action Its probably pretty funny to see!
