Ok I guess I shouldn’t officially call her lazy but……I can’t help not to! lol

Backround here is that Miffy is a rescue who didn’t get much interaction at all with her former owners.  I believe they didn’t take her out of her cage at all or if so very rarely.  Suprisingly enough she is a very snuggly bunny and likes to be scratched and will sit with me for quite a long time before she’s had enough.

Problem is I am starting to get concerned about her lack of physical activity.  Vet says she’s healthy and not overweight.  Its just that I let her go for playtime and most of the time she just sits there.  There are toys and things to engage her including myself sometimes and nope…would rather lay down and relax.  I have seen some of the videos posted here and it amazes me that they are THAT much more active than Miffy.  We have had her for a couple weeks now and she still has yet to show much interest in hopping about and having her run time.

Any suggestions to get her to learn to play and be excited to be out?  I am going to make a hay treat bag this aft to see if that peaks her interest.

Hi! I wouldn’t actually be too concerned…I’ve encountered quite a few lazy bunnies! My bunnies usually only run around about 30 min a day total I would say – and even then thats including the running to get a treat, or Juli running away from Kramer who is trying to get her to play with him…I would say the time bunnies are most active is at dawn and dusk (they are crepuscular – crepescular?) so those are their most active times. If she is not overweight, I think you just have a very chill bunny on your hands !
