My rabbit chewed through a tea bag that i didn’t realize until just now how a laxative effect to it. She is acting completely normal- even playful. The local emergency vet said she didn’t really know if I should bring her in.

        The product contains senna leaf.

Please someone let me know what i should do

Hmm… I found one article that was looking at changes in blood clotting times when rabbits were fed senna over a period of time. Other than that, I can’t find anything that says it’s toxic (or not toxic). If it was a tea bag, I assume it contained mostly tea leaves. So she may not have ate much of it anyway. Is she still acting OK? Eating/pooping OK?

yeah she’s been eating basically nonstop and has pooped a few times too. she’s acting completely normal! i just know senna acts as a laxative in humans and i could see it spelling disaster for a rabbits GI tract but i can’t find anything online, and the vet’s office couldn’t tell me what to do. I appreciate you replying!!
