I have a senior rescue who obviously loves us. I would love to get her adjusted to snuggling in our laps – any thoughts?

A good question to ask is what is the intent of training a new behavior, especially one that goes against innate instincts for a rabbit.

If you’re rabbit is one who enjoys lap time, that’s wonderful, but if not, I think it’d just be stressful trying to force that. Laps are uneven structures.

My Wick is one of the most tolerant when it comes to handling and loves cuddling, but laps are just not comfortable for him in any sense.

My bun only recently started seeking lap cuddles. Totally on his terms though. Usually while I’m snacking on something or reading a book or dozing. lol So… maybe food to entice a visit, and then pets to see if bun enjoys a brief stay?

Thanks for the thoughts! I see a lot of posts it seems with people having lap time with their buns. I didn’t realize it goes against their nature. She is happy and adjusted – I will leave it alone
