  Woohoo! Just brought Rupert home! (played hookey from work…well it’s freezing out and we got a big snowstorm…and I needed to go to the humane society and adopt a bunny heheh). He’s exploring right now, we are just going to let him settle in for a few days/weeks before trying to bond; They met through the cage…and well, we’ll see how they do! Rupert’s great-super friendly, just a cuddly guy! He has a gibbled leg though, apparently he had a break when he was a stray (I don’t even want to think of what!) and it healed crooked, but he’s not in pain and he seems to do very well getting around so far! I’ll keep you posted!

  aww, welcome home Rupert! Can’t wait to see pics. I’m glad to hear he’s getting around well, despite his leg too.

  I checked the Edmonton Humane Society website, and they haven’t yet updated their database, which means the photo of Rupert there is still available! It’s below. Of course, we very much want to see Rupert in his new home, and eventually with Kokanee and Kaluha!

  Yeah!! Yahoo!! I bet you are just so excited and I bet Rupert is so happy. How is he settling in so far? I know it’s all new, but I love hearing all the details! Like how was he was acting or how he will act with his first exploration.
  
  You may find his poop to be a bit off for a little while as he settles in and gets used to a new diet. (As long as he poops)

  but he doesn’t poop at all outside of his cage, so hopefully this behavior keeps up. He’s not litter trained so I’ll use this oppurtunity (while he is in a serparte enclosure) to train him. Hopefully that goes well.
  
  He was a little shy when we first put him in his enclosure. We brought Kahlua over to show him through the cage and he perked right up-was super interested and then started checking everything out. He’s not too shy now, and hops around the apartment. Dave thinks it’s really funny that he likes all the same spots as Kokanee and kahlua do! He found all their fav spots and lounged there for a bit. He’s checking things out, but it’s easy since he can’t hop up on things. We thought he wouldn’t be able to balance on his back feet but incredibly he can. So he does stand up to look around.
  
  He loves Hay! Such a cutie! And he loved the crumply paper I gave him and the toilet paper roll and the willow toy! He’s finding a little warm in our apartment but that might just be the excitement. He even comes when you call him!!

  Beka, I’m not sure how big he is but to me, he is very big! I’d say he’s at least five pounds..? He’s a pretty big guy. I said he has daddy’s size (my boyfriend is very tall) and mommy’s figure (…he’s a bit chubby )
