kijiji ad

Hi, I just had to put this out there. There are many people who do not care for some of the posts/ads on kijiji and craigslist, myself majorly disgusted with what I deem not rabbit friendly. I was looking for buns that could be fostered on kijiji and found an ad wanting meat rabbits. Okay I contacted the guy and said what I thought. Okay, he replied which is his right to do so. But the way he replied! He could not understand why 90% of the emails he is recieving are complaining about the post being offensive. So I told him that a lot of bun lovers do get upset about that kind of post and that rabbits are primarily pets and the third most statistic in the shelters, thus proving that rabbits are considered by the mjority to be pets. He replies with a story about the consumption of rabbit meat being wonderful, steroid free for his family and about how his chickens are the same way. He knows the chickens’ names, knows where they like to lay in the yard to rest, and some of their pet like qualities, and deems rabbits could be the same, but the point is why is he wanting to breed rabbits to slaughter and eat them, but first let his kids pet them, name them and then learn how to slaughter them for the better good of the family unit. Just venting here. This guy did not come off as all there. Sorry but I always defend buns and don’t want to be pushy with my opinions but what this world doesn’t need is a bunch of urban backyard breeders teaching younger generations the same. When they get tired of the “HOBBY”, the buns are either rescued by an overwhelmed shelter or dumped somewhere. Carla.

This is just me, but If I find some real terrible ad, like someone selling a million rabbits for five dollars, or breeding horses that are so ugly and cheap they’re going strait to slaughter, I punch in a fake address so I can tell them off and not be tempted to read their reply. Plus they probably try to reply and get their reply ‘return to sender’ and get madder. I’m bad, but sometimes those ads are so bad and I do feel the need to reply!!

It’s really best for my blood pressure to stay off it though!!

I seen an ad recently too on kijiji that made me insanely angry. He was looking for “Meat rabbits, all dressed for Christmas pies”. How sick is that? I assume he got a lot of negative feedback as the ad was off the next day. Sickos, sickos, sickos…
