Hammer is extermely happy!  He just got his precious alfalfa oxbow hay. The store got it in today and we hurried to pick it up. Hammer has eaten TWO bowl things of the hay in 20 min. lol. Im so glad he is happy again. Anyways we bought two bags so we wont have to order it as often. Is there a way to keep the second bag fresh until we need it? You shouldnt keep it in a sealed bag without holes because of mold, correct? Can hay be frozen or be put in the frig? would that even help? How do you guys keep your hay?

I just leave mine out in a container with holes in it. small holes.

I dont’ think putting in the friggie or freezer would help.  I would think they would collect moisture in the friggie and go bad like greens do. IN the freezer? Well when you take it out to thaw it would again collect moisture and get moldy quick I would imagine.

Maybe someone else has a better idea
