        Hey all!
So I was feeding my boys rabbit pellets from the local tractor supply store. They are Co-op brand and after a little research I was horrified to discover they are absolute GARBAGE !!
Hardly any fibre and LOADED in Protein! And no timothy hay AT ALL!

I immediately got them some Oxbow essentials and began mixing them but my buns would not eat the oxbow pellets and would pick out the ones they were use to. I have bought the Kaytee Timothy complete (there are no seeds or other junk) and they eat everyone of them!
Has anyone else fed these pellets and good success? I feed 1/2 cup per day as my buns are a large breed (each one is almost 9 Lbs!)
I was a little disappointed they wouldn’t eat the oxbow ones but the nutritional facts are pretty much the same.

        Any advice welcome!!

My boys were on Purina until 5.5 months. The breeder gave me a 25 pound bag that lasted until they were old enough to switch to adult pellets. I bought Oxbow, and I gradually mixed it in with the Purina. Bombur (my little fat man) willingly ate every pellet. Asriel was a struggle. He would pick out the Purina ones and leave the Oxbow ones. Some mornings he had the previous serving still in his dish along with the new one. Eventually, he realized that was it and he started eating them. Now little man sneaks into the bag when I’m not looking.

Little fat man! I have one of those too lol!
Even my garbage disposal of a bunny wouldn’t eat them! And he’ll eat duct tape and plaster walls haha!
I was hoping if i left them there long enough they would eat them but they wouldn’t touch them! They ate more hay however lol

These Kaytee pellets they love! they look the same as the old pellets so I think they are fooled

I think Kaytee is just as good though. My boys used to love the Kaytee timothy, but then again, I switched to Oxbow beacause buying a 9 pound bag once a month was cheaper than a small bag for $10 a week. Honestly, if your pair like it, I wouldn’t change it.
