There is a Donkey sanctuary, I like donkeys and had experience with them in the passed and horses so, someone is going to ask if I can help voluntary, which means I won’t get paid, which I don’t mind, its near the seaside where retired donkeys go so lots of visitors, what would you think if you turned up at a donkey sanctuary and found a Nun, yes a Nun who is almost blind dressed in black helping donkeys? The order of Nuns I am in only wear the habit when working in the community or church days.

My reaction would be brief surprise, but that’s only because you almost never see nuns here anyway. After that I think it would just make sense, it’s a sanctuary. So of course kind people will volunteer there

If it’s something that you’re interested in helping with, go for it

Who cares what people think. Do what makes you happy and if your helping animals, all the better.

I love donkeys too. This is Pedro. A mini who lives at the stable where I board my pony. Isn’t he adorable?

Oh I love donkeys! I didn’t realise you were a nun. I don’t think anyone would have any negative feelings at all

I’m convinced they’d love you, nun or not. (How could they not??) Plus there are after all lots of donkeys in the Bible. Didn’t Christ ride into Jerusalem on a donkey?

I went to a donkey rescue on Corfu on my vacation. It was a great place! So clean and the hay looked so good and the donkeys so sweet and friendly and relaxed as they strolled around and munched on hay hay and let us hoomins rub their heads =)

LPT, Pedro is a lot more than adorable!
