So I just felt like showing off my babies (not just the bunny baby!!). I have four dogs in total, 3 live at my dads house on an acreage and one (the little guy) lives with me at my moms. I got to spend a week house sitting for my dad so I thought I’d take some pictures of the pups (sorry only 2 of the 3 the 3rd one is a little camera shy but I’ll try to get some next time I go visit lol). I love all my dogs!!!! ![]()
This is Grizzly Bear (goes by Grizz)

He is such a big teddybear/goofball but the most loyal dog I’ve ever met!

This darling girl is Nella she is my baby, she’s such a people dog and doesn’t really enjoy the acreage so when I’m out on my own she will be living with me hopefully![]()

Getting thanks because being brushed feels sooooooooooo good ![]()

This little guy is Pepper. He is the newest addition to our family we rescued him from the SPCA a year ago
This picture is from last year because I lost all my more recent pictures of him when my computer crashed, but he hasnt changed at all!

And of course so the Princess doesn’t feel left out
ANOTHER picture of Smudge

Hope I didn’t bore anyone! hehe I just love sharing photos of all my babies not just the bunny! Feel free to post pictures of your other pets too!!
Squeee!!! I love your dogs!!!
Here’s mine.
Jezebel is my soul dog. She came to me as a foster and I just couldn’t part with her so I made her officially mine. She’s been with me for almost four years. She was six months old when I got her. Her previous family had purchased her to be a fighting dog but she was too scared to fight. They shaved the word “swank” in her fur from her shoulder to her tail. It took a looooong time to grow out. If you look close at the picture you can see it.

She wears her ladybug costume every halloween.
I adopted Chuck from the Loudoun County Animal Shelter. He was so hand shy when I first got him that if anyone reached out to pet him he dropped to the floor and squeezed his eyes shut. He’s the best family dog but he is not at all good with strangers. If we have company he has to be crated because he’s been known to snap at people who insist on petting him. Never makes contact but still very scary when a 110 lb. rottie shows you his teeth.

This is Brutus…I raised him from a puppy until he was four years old. He stayed with the ex fiancee and I took Chuck and Jezebel. I miss that goofy dog.

He lubs his girlfriend…

This is Roscoe, one of my three ferrets. I don’t have pictures of my boy Dusty or my foster Marcy. Roscoe is a female who came from the animal shelter with her name. It’s kind of hard to tell the difference between male and female…just like Rabbits…though I think rabbits are a little easier when you know what you’re looking for.

This is Ripley…one of my angel dogs. The ex and I used to take her to work with us. He owns a landscape company and I worked in the office at an industrial park. She saw a cat in the parking lot, threw all of her weight against the office door, chased the cat into the middle of the street and got hit by a cement mixer. She died instantly, thank God. She was only a year old.

I had a digital painting of her made. It’s hanging in the ex’s house above the fire place.

And this is Bruno. He was another one of those dogs who tugged at my heart. He was a very large Pit Bull mixed probably with Presa Canario. Mixing a dog like a Pit Bull with a guardian breed is always a recipe for disaster. We fostered him for a long time but it got to the point where my kids were afraid of him. He was bigger than they were and would knock them down and stand on them. He never hurt them and when he did it he tried to lick them but still…kids can’t be afraid of the animals they live with. He was very protective of the family. I couldn’t take him to adoption events because he lunged and acted like a crazy dog if anyone tried to get within 20 feet of me. After much soul searching I approached the board of directors and requested that he be put to sleep. I couldn’t keep him, no one else would take him, and he was destined to spend life in a cage where he would eventually be put down anyway and I wanted his last moments to be with people who love him. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done and I miss him more than I miss some of my own animals that passed away. Here’s some pictures of my beautiful boy.
His official rescue picture: (this one is in the design on my personal blog)

Bruno and Jezzy share a crate (she’s a little fickle with the boys)

Here he made a cozy bed out of a box full of pants Pete bought for his workers:

He also liked to help with paperwork.

Dang. Now I have tears in my eyes…looking at my angel puppies.
And yes, those walls are purple. Like Barney. My kitchen was the same color. I can’t say I miss that at all…lol!
Your dogs are all beautiful!!!!
I love that you are so knowledgable about Pit Bulls and have the time and patience in your heart to help them. I grew up with two Staffordshire Bull Terriers. If you’re not familiar with the breed they are an English dog often classed with Pit Bull Terriers (or mistaken for them) and American Bull Terriers even though it is incorrect. They are wonderful dogs but everyone was convinced they were “viscious pit bulls” and it was a real struggle for my family. They were the best dogs I’ve ever known and were the reason I really started learning about the Pit Bull breed because of peoples ignorance. The more I learned the more my heart ached for all of those poor mistreated dogs and my anger grew over the complete stupidity of some people. Like shaving a stupid word into their fur and trying to make a puppy fight for example… URGH okay.. venting done
My dog Pepper was severly abused by the male of the household he previously lived in, he was a petstore puppy who they struggled to house train and so when they couldn’t train him they left him outside, and when it got so cold he almost froze they threw him down the stairs (literally) to live on cement in his own feces and urine. When he would whine or bark the man hit him across the head. The humane society even “warned” us against adopting him but something tugged at out heart strings… in a year he was come so far and is so happy! He can be jumpy or scared around strange men but he is really coming along. And he is perfectly house trained, he just needed patience and some proper care.
Your ferret is ADORABLE!!!!
I just love all animals, I swear my family will lock me up and throw away the key! If I could have my way I would have a large house with lots of land so that I could rescue mistreated dogs, cats and any other animals in need of special care or understanding! I just believe that they deserve a chance at having the best life possible.
I’m so sorry for your loss of Bruno, it can not have been easy to make that decision. But you gave him a wonderful life while he was with you and that is what counts, showing him what real love is supposed to be like. His story made me cry, but he’s in a happier place now where there is no fear and you’ll see him again I’m sure ![]()
I’m also sorry for Ripley, she is very beautiful. It is hard to lose any animal to an accident, I have lost a pet similarly and it’s devastating.
You are an amazing person for opening your heart and home to those in need, I hope one day I can make half the difference you have made for some special animals.
aww what lovely guys! they are so cute!
Ok my apologies in advance for the number of pictures but I have alot of pets!!
I’ll go in the order that we got them ![]()
This is TK he was rescued when he was 1 year old in 2002. He is the most sweetest cat in the whole world and he is Tucker’s good friend ![]()

Tucker wasn’t looking all mad because of TK she was mad at me for taking pictures during naptime. Prior to the flash she was lounging right along with TK.
Next came Sammi, we’ve had her since she was 1 years old too, back in 2002. She was a rescue too who was taken in apparently because she nibbled on the kids and jumped on them. However, the shelter never thought this was the case and either do we. We do believe she nibbled on someone’s hands though because she was going through teething and she’d mouth my hand all the time back then..but she never did it to any child. She’s the sweetest dog and let’s the kids and our little dog do just about anything to her and she just goes with the flow. I have pictures somewhere of my dad putting her to bed with the kids and she had her own pillow and blanket. That’s my oldest son in the picture there with her.

Next came Peanut…short for Peanut Buster Parfait..she’s our “wild feral cat” LOL. It’s just so funny because we can’t imagine how she ever survived a day in a feral cat community. She’s a spoiled Diva..
Here she is stealing Elphie’s bed..

And lounging in Tucker’s box.
Then came “dog dog” the loverbird.
Then we added Elphie our pug.
This is where she found to sleep when Peanut stole her bed. It’s one of the kids’ chairs.
She loves blankets ![]()

And where she spends most of her day…on my lap annoying the crap out of me.
Well there’s also a fish, but I can’t find a picture of him right now and two hammies but besides that this is our bunch. And Tucker of course!!
you guys all have beautiful animals!
AWWWW they are all so gorgeous!! Can’t get over that crazy ferral cat though
Doesn’t she look wild?? hehehe
Awe! Everyone’s animals are sooo cute! Makes me want a puppy again.
Everyone has such beautiful pets!! Hey T&R I found some pics of Marcy off the website. Hope you don’t mind if I link them…
http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=6978674
I love Marcy!!
Tuckerbunz – I LOVE PUGS!!! they are soooo cute!
However did you know that they used to look like this:
19348950931.gif
19348955678.jpg
basically humans have bred them to fit into a more ‘breed standard’ and therefore they have breathing problems and other problems because they have been bred to be so small and have such a squashed face, but a 100 years ago they looked nothing like that at all they were much bigger and had a normal face, people have changed them to look like they do now, dont get me wrong i adore pugs i just always was amazed how people have changed dogs so much just for dog shows and their health has been disregarded. Sorry for getting off topic guys just couldnt help it! you should see what the beagle and german sheppard and spaniels used to look like 😐
You all must have huge hearts!
TuckerBunz, you have a bird called Dog-Dog?! Tell me more!
K&D – i’d like to see those pics, i’m bit partial to beagles. Also, have you got pic of Willow to post? (hint hint )
K&R -nope I didn’t know that they looked like that! But you know mine looks like a mini of that lol. She doesn’t have the stocky build and her nose isn’t AS pushed in. She was supposedly the “runt” of the litter but I think that daddy was a chihuahua if you ask me! She’s apparently pure bred and she has the papers to be CKC registered but I dunnno ’bout that..doesn’t matter to me though I love her ..and hey chihuahua was my second choice of what kind I wanted hehe. There is a pug a few houses down that’s like twice her size and he’s still “a puppy”. Elphie is full grown in those pictures!
jerseygirl: yep dog-dog the lovebird lol. We got him when my son was about a year old. He called everything “dog” back then. And he has always repeated animal names twice like Tucker is “Tucker Tucker Bun Buns” so he became “dog dog”. I was really opposed to it at first because I had always wanted a bird and I had such cool names picked out …can’t remember but they were but they were awesome LOL but he called it “dog! dog!” when he would point at him and everyone was like “OMG how adorable!” lol so it stuck. Dog-dog now knows his name so much that if I say “damnit dog!” (she’s not fully housebroken..the pug) he chirps like crazy because he thinks I’m talking about him lol. And when I yell at the dogs to break it up when they’re playing rough he goes nuts too.

Here is willow (left) and sweep (right) eagerly awaiting the ball to be thrown lol they are both border collies and gorgeous!
I will have a look for the beagle photos and post if i find ![]()
Here is what a Bulldog used to look like:

and here is what it looks like now:

OHHHH! Border Collies! Sorry I forgot Sweep! Soon as I read the name I remembered you mentioning him b4. Now I’m all sad. My sister is rehoming her BC this weekend and I would have loved to have had her but I can’t really afford it
. Still, she’s going to good home.
TuckerBunz, that’s so cute! Out of the mouth of babes huh! My nephew, 4, renamed the family dog Jack Johnson because he wanted the dogs name – Oscar- for his puppy toy which had been Puppy for 4 years prior. Aren’t they precious!
edit: just saw the bull dog pic![]()
LOL Lucas has a stuffed pug and he just calls her “Elphie Puppy” so there’s “Elphie” who is the real dog and then “Elphie Puppy” who’s the stuffy. And that thing goes EVERYWHERE with us!!
Here is the english bull terrior before (notice the head has no mound, its more of a border collie shape)

and here it is now, notice the huge bulge in the face which the KC says is a defining feature

rabbit – moreland
grey cat – ghia
black cat – sticky
doggie – rocco
are all my loves

Gorgeous Dogs and kitties (and hamster!!
)
I’ll have to post pics of all my whisker babies when I get my laptop fixed as my pc is totally fussy and it’s really hard doing anything with pics. By the way, I have 4 cats, 3 buns and a horse!
awww Angelina, your kitty looks like my TK ![]()
really sticky or ghia?
black or grey one?
i love them both. i wish i had a farm. i have a mini one in my small two bedroom house. lol about to convert the second room to morelands room. its crazy all the cats and doggie sleep in our bed with us its like a zoobed!
Ooh my turn!
My dog Hexx (squishing me):

My bird, Lady Wilkenshire (and me):

Frankie with my guinea pig, Toejam:

My other piggy, Bullit:

aw guinea pigs awesome! what are they like compared to bunnies? i always wanted one
Ghia
My TK is in my comment above..he’s the one on the computer chair and then in the bunny condo with Tucker lol
I always wanted a guinea pig too. I think we’ve decided that after our hamsters pass we’ll get guinea pigs. Right now we just have too many cages to clean to add another one 😛
Haha, guinea pigs are good pets, especially for little kids. They’re very low maintenance and squeak when they need something! A lot of breeds have very calm, sweet temperaments too.
