first super duper large wet/dry vaccum and I am in love!!!  Keeping up with one “buns” has been hard with a plain old hand vac but this puppy will suck up even her paper scraps she has all over her pen!!    All I have to say is WOW!  Why do things always come around later and then finally you say ??? now why did I not think of this before.   Poop and shred away my lovable pal because now I have the wonder vac

Shop vacs are a wonderful thing. Not only do they suck up everything, and I mean everything, but it is also a great way to get the buns back into their cages. I have one of the smaller models that you can actually carry around in your hand.

My only problem is that Maryann has become less intimidated by it and now when I am cleaning their condo with it, she pokes her head near it and begins to sniff it. I don’t know if it would be laughter or terror I would produce if she ever got her nose stuck in that thing.

I got this one from Home Depot, it’s a RIGID - well ALMOST this one – it is the same except more attachments and a wheeled base.

man….I got the smallest one and we are forever clogging it up with hay. I just bought the small one and I want to upgrade already…lol

Of course I got the small one when I only had two rabbits….

I ended up getting the 6 gal Husky. It’s not the small one and not the big one. My only concern was that the filter seems to take up half the tank but I’ve had no problems with sucking up everything and anything. It has wheels so it moves around nicely and the hose is a soft one so it bends really nice. It also comes with 2 extention attachments so I don’t have to bend down to clean. Beeslee has already taken a sniff and a bite of it. She seems to not be bothered by it. The only problem is the noise it is loud and the only one who is running is my cat. Beeslee can care less about it.

Markusdark, I hope that never happens to Beelsee I think I would faint!!!

I have a ShopVac – I’m not sure the size exactly, but its the largest size that doesn’t have wheels. We’ve found that when you get the hose clogged, something that works well is holding the nozzle steady and swinging the hose kind of like a jump rope – it seems to dislodge the hay. Also, swinging it back and forth or up and down if the jump rope swinging doesn’t help.

I got Juli’s bum once – fortunately since it is fur and the hose didn’t create a seal on her bum she was able to escape, give me several thumps and the bum for a couple hours!

If the tube gets clogged, I just disconnect the one end, turn it around and put the front end into the socket. Usually sucks the blockage right out.

No mine aren’t scared of it they dont’ move til I get close to them.   Oh HB got his ear sucked up in it one day was hilarious. HE took off. HE doesn’t even acknowledge I am running it. I think he hears alrigth he is just soooo laid back nothing fazes him. Not a vac for sure. I think a firecracker could go off and he would not notice.
