I was sick the other day and Archie kept looking up at me on the couch…well I tempted him with a carrot and he finally learned he could jump that high!  Now he’s jumping on the couch like crazy!  We had to block off the back of the couch since he has been going back there and digging (I love this stage) and we just put what we could for now (a saw in a box, a book on top of that and a few other things).  Well Archie made a running start and leaped on top of that!    My husband said to me “now don’t be complaining to me when there’s hairs all over the couch” .  He’s such a daredevil sometimes!

Yep same problem here.  I had gotten a bunch of couch cushions and stuffed them behing and under the couch.  A truly determined bunny may just keep digging at it and get past it though.  (Cotton!!!)

Also if you have NIC cubes they are great for blocking buns from these things.  Or an xpen surrounding the couch.  Which kind of looks weird when you are sitting on the couch all jailed in and watching tv through the bars.

I should have never showed him that he could do that.  But I’m sure he would have figured it out eventually, he kept eyeing it.  Where do you usually find NIC cubes?  haha, especially when company comes over and wonders why you put your hubby in a pen

Bunnies are so smart, my guess is Archie would have figured it out eventually without any help.

NIC cubes are also called Organize It cubes and can be found at Target, Walmart and other places but those are the 2 most frequent places to get them. Usually $15 per box.

We use them in my house to block off the back of the couch, block off areas of the kitchen, etc. I think BB has a photo of a NIC set up like a blockade.

We use NIC cubes for everything bunny related. All 4 of our buns live in NIC houses that are set up like x-pens.

LMAO that’s pretty funny!! cubes are great-so is ‘unknown’ junk-you can pile places high with it and if they can’t see it well they won’t land on it…although sounds like Archie doesn’t mind

i just did this! Meadow has jumped on my bed only a few times in the 1.5 years we’ve had her. last month i lifted her onto the bed with me, and it’s been all over since then. i will walk in my room and she is sitting in the middle of the bed, IN THE DARK. not gonna lie… it’s kinda creepy… now she’s become (sigh…) possessive of my bed. Mike tried to pet her when she was on there and he lunged at her…*  i was folding laundry on my bed and she kept attacking the towels… she was actually GROWLING at the towels. fortunately no peeing or pooping tho… that’s the last thing i need.

                    *  whoops!  edited:  LOL!  HE did not LUNGE at HER…  it was the other way around… LMAO!

Hubby was naughty so I had to put him in time out.  No sister-in-law I do let him out on occassion.

Those cube it things work good.  Cotton still hasn’t figured out how to get past them.

I was going to go to the store today but I checked online first and both Walmart and Target said sold online only   So I might order it through amazon or something.  We even piled everything under the x-mas tree and he still found a little hole to squeeze himself into Grr!!!    Oh he was mad that we tried to get him out, thumping and almost tried to chew the tree skirt my grandma made for me.  Needless to say another time out for him.

I’m pretty sure I remember seeing them at home Depot too [:

Hehe…Charlie sounds like quite the little character

Leila jumped on the couch the other day… lol she didn’t know what to make of it and was dissapointed when I had to scoop her up before she could make a break for it. I’m looking for the cubes as well to make the pen higher… Leila can’t stay still for a second and loves to jump on anything and everything.

if wal-mart and target is close to you, i would go check the store first-hand for them. the websites seem to carry a different brand that is only online, but the regular store brand is usually available in store but are not listed online…

….easily picturing Cotton with a tiny little welder’s mask and a tinier acetylene torch…..with the Mission Impossible theme playing in the background……
