Hi guys!
I used to frequent BB but I have’t logged on for some years, life just got in the way. I’ve had a pair of bonded rabbits since 2011 but sadly a couple weeks ago one of them, Totoro, passed away suddenly. Today I brought Wilbur (female) to my local humane society for a “bunny date” and it was essentially love at first sight – no biting, honking or circling. After a mere minute or so the two were flopped against each other and after an hour of grooming and snuggling it was declared a perfect match, the adoption counselor sent him home with me. So here we are, in the middle of bonding that’s going so well I’m not exactly sure what protocol to follow.
A few life updates:
I’m a MOM now (to a human, that is)!!! I have a two year old little boy, whom I’ll call “R.” R is a incredibly caring and constantly amazes me. Being a mom has been the most fulfilling experience and feels like the coolest thing I’ve ever done. (I would include a picture of him, but I’m not sure if that’s against the rules). I’m in nursing school and, if everything goes accordingly, will be a neonatal nurse practitioner. Since I’ve last been on here I’ve also purchased a new horse, Campechano.
Here’s the new handsome, 7 year old mini rex. He came with the name “Bubba” but I’m changing it. Any name suggestions would be appreciated! His previous owners bought him from a pet store a year ago and then decided to give him up in December because “he chews on everything.” Upon intake the vet warned that he was overweight but he’s trimmed down since. I originally thought I’d bring home a REW, but his age had been scaring away potential adopters.
