It’s a slinky…. plus video!!

Ok I promise I will post some vids…the first couple I took are so dark (hate my camera) that you can’t see anything…but I pulled my old slinky out to see if they’d enjoy it…I can’t tell if they hate it or love it or are trying to kill it but it’s majorly fun to watch and they definitely wear themselves out!

 

They do try to dig at it-alot!, but its most hilarious to watch them try to toss it…pick up the top-toss…hey wait it’s still here. Try tossing again, hey wait it’s still here… repeat

 

Go find your old slinky and give it to your buns, its hilarious and I’m quite certain they love it…I’ve found them playing with it, having pulled it out themselves before

I may have to try the slinky thing again.  It’s been a long while and at the time they didn’t give it much interest – but that was before Jack,  so it might be worth trying.

 

I did find a funny video on youtube with a bunny playing with it so much he fell over.

Drue’s a big slinky fan too.  He has a mini one in his condo and then Tucker has a big one in hers.  Hers is there as more of a deterent though, she is afraid of how it bounces back so it’s hanging on the side she tries to escape from lol.   Drue’s is hanging from his shelf so that he can push it and have it bounce back at him.

What about the slinky being plastic?? I think my bun would love that (I LOVED the video, thanks BB), but what about the plastic getting chewed?

Mine is plastic and they haven’t broken it, I think it’s very strong…I’d say if you let her play only when you can watch that’d be best anyways (plus sooo fun to watch!)

Could the slinky be metal? I only have metal ones.

I would worry about the metal being sharp? I haven’t seen a metal slinky since the good old days, and I remember them being sharp – of course, I could be bias since I fell with one and I split my lip open on it.

ouch BB! i would also keep with plastic. dollar stores will sometimes have mini plastic slinkies… you don’t necessarily need a full size one.

Steve isn’t as enthusiastic about his slinky as Pepper is.  These are a couple of videos of Pepper with her slinky.  One video she managed to throw the brush inside the slinky before messing with it.

My Lily loves her slinky!  It’s a purple, plastic one that I got at Target in the little bargain bins that are at the front of the store. 

It’s soo funny to watch her play with it.  She digs and buries it under her and then grabs it with her mouth and pulls it out.  She also picks it up, drops it, picks it up, drops it- this goes on for several minutes.  It definitely keeps her busy!!

There are minor teeth marks in the plastic but she hasn’t done any significant damage to it.  It’s a tough little slinky! 

A cheap toy that provides hours of fun
