I was vaccuuming today. and Cotton was on his lounge spot udner the kitchen table on top his enclosed hay container as i moved his container and vaccuumed around the cracks behind it. He streeeetched his little fuzzy head and took a big long peek at the commotion. HE is so funny. Has to see everythign going on. I tell you. I sat eating chips in the chair he jumped up climbed to my shoulder and stretched adn stared at the chips. fortunately he didn’t beg for long. and off he went.    well it is supper time for us. hubby is playing at the dock fishing. and I know cotton is getting anxious for his lettuce while I eat. He keeps running across the top of the couch. spoilt little fellow is he. his shedding stopped that was quick that ferminator brush is great. tho I hope his skirt grows back like it was b4 I over brushed it. still has some but no enuf.

ohhhh I have to get pics of his little face with his nose and lips sticking out thru the cage begging. oh yes. ahaa. that will be funny too.

lolz…I wish none of my animals minded the vacuum…hence why I don’t do it often enough.

Oooh yes please! Begging bunny lips! SO CUTE! ^_^

My daughter got this bunny butt of Pip last night on her new ‘hang out’ shelf.

Ahhh fishing! I really need to go do some, I miss fishing. ^_^

Meadow used to hate the vaccuum but she seems to be warming up to it now… which is actually very bad. before i could vaccuum in peace and not worry she was going to jump out at me. now she will sit right in front of it… and not move. it’s only when i vaccuum out her enclosure rug tho…

Edson “grew up” with a vacuum so he is not the least bit bothered by it.  The cleaning crew would come in at the rescue and vacuum daily so he’s used to the noise.

baby is quite used to the noise too.  tho i do think she`s a bit deaf in her old age and that maybe why.  she doesn`t even startle when she`s laying next to the dog & he leaps up barking as tho there`s a serial killer walking up our driveway (ie: the paper delivery boy who is a sweet fellow… no idea why bogart hates him so much).

pinky is very upset by the vaccuum but has been a little wee bit better each time she hears it.  i make a point of starting it in the kitchen & then working my way into her room so i don`t give her a heart attack.  she`s very very sensitive to the tiniest noise.  she doesn`t always startle but at least one ear always perks in the noise direction

i tend to be abit weary around people my dogs dont like because i was watching a documentary once, which might be a load of crap but anyway there was this family whos daughter was missing and the dog kept barking at this guy who lived 2 doors down and everytime the guy was near he would go mental (he didnt bark for any other reason not like when anyone came to the door or anything) and it turned out that guy had the daughter captive in his house, since i watched that if my dog doesnt trust them neither do it hehe.. sorry bit of topic
i have started using a dustpan in their house because they would do a major freak out if i brought the hoover in there

Holly used to hide when the vacuum is out and on. Now she just lays there, but she is very alert. If I get close to her, she bolts.

                          heheh ‘disapproval pending’ LOL!!

Rupert is terrified of the vaccum if he’s out or his cage is open. He’lll run in his condo and bury his head like an ostriche. If the cage door is closed, then you can literally vaccum wihtin inches of him and he has no worries what a goof-he knows his door protects him LOL

Tucker bolts under his hideout when the vacuum first turns on, but then after that initial shock he loves it and he comes out to his pen to see what is going on and ugh sometimes I WISH it scared him a bit more then it does…when I am vacuuming his pen and his cage he is all up in my business about it and I am so afraid I am going to accidently suck him up! I have to keep my one elbow out kind of blocking him in and I keep the nozzle of the vacuum hose in a diagonal position away from him so that if he comes near I can sweep it up and out of the way.  He is such a little bugger about the vacuum!!

My kids though???  They are terrified of it and they all jump onto the back of the couch..not just onto the couch….all the way to the back of it and they scream “AAAAAHHHHH RUN!!! VACUUM!!!!!!” and my cat is outta here the second that turns on.  My big oaf of a dog….she won’t move at all..I could be running into her with the vacuum and she won’t move.  I have to actually tell her to move her lazy bum so that I can vacuum the spot she’s laying on.  And she’s not old..she’s just big and lazy hehe

my dogs aren’t like that, one hates it and runs if it is even facing his direction the other barks at it and chases it round and goes to rip it up and digs it up and stuff

T-Bunz… my son freaks out at the vaccuum too. maybe it’s a kid thing. as soon as i turn it on he has to hop up on the couch as if i would purposely run him down if he didn’t… weird.

Cotton will let me open the top of her cage and vacuum the hay bits and poops of the floor and she watches but is not scared.  But man- if I try to reach in and brush the bottom with my hand- she growls- so I use the vacuum now instead.  Does not scare her at all- and she prefers that to seeing my hand cleaning her cage or enclosure.  Weird.

God, my bits LOVE the vacuum and regularly turn it on!!

                                    I have one of these:

So they all like to jump on top of it and hit that big button right in the middle to make it beep on, and then they hop off, and hop back on and hit the button again with their feet and off it goes! They usually then jump off and do a couple satisfied binkies in celebration of their good work. Roger has even stayed ON the roomba while it was on, riding it around the room! haha it cracks us up…

Lagomorpheus … what a hoot!  Love to see pics of your buns riding the hoover!

Luey does not give a rats about the hoover … he will move away from his pen bars when I come up close though.

Piggy Tyson takes it all in his stride when I am hoovering around his cage … but Piggy Micky runs and hides in his hidey house.

When I vacuum the rabbit room, Stormy hides in his house, Bindi sometimes hides, sometimes continues eating hay (I guess it depends on how hungry he is). Olivia is terrified of the vacuum as her cage is on the floor and I have to take her out into another room while I vacuum. I always have to vacuum super fast in there and the floor is always a mess!
