        Hello! I have a 9 lb Florida White. We just noticed that he has a small patch of cracked skin on one of his heels (but not the other- just one). Could this be sore hock? It’s not bleeding, but the skin does look cracked and a bit pink. I’m just wondering if this is a wait and see if it gets worse or a call a vet and make an appointment kind of situation. Also note- he went to the vet a few weeks ago- no health problems, not overweight, his nails get trimmed every 2-3 weeks and are at a good length.

          Not yet, it just looks like a callus in the picture. You could put some ointment on it to keep it soft. Bag balm, for example, is safe for rabbits.
