Lately it seems like my rabbits hardly leave their cage and all they do is sleep.  They come out for a little bit to strech out and run a little bit but most of the day it’s laying around.  We just built them a new cage, do they like it a little too much?   Maybe I’m just a worrier.

Also, how fast to rabbits usually breath; I don’t know if I never noticed it or not but seems like they’ve been breathing a lot faster.  The house was at 75 degrees F. for the AC to come on.  I put a frozen bottle by them and it cooled off during the night too.  I thought they might have been hot.

My rabbits sleep all day long.

I think 75 degrees is quite cool enough too. I keep my thermostat at 77/78 (for me) could do up to 80 as well and it would be fine (it’s different indoors too rather than outdoors when it’s climate controlled and rabbits have access to water and food).

Ah thank you! Maybe it’s the weather too, it’s been kind of cruddy weather the past few days. Nothing but rain and dark clouds yuck! I feel the same way they do I think, just want to lay around all day long.

They may view the condo as their warren. Wild rabbits pretty much disappear into the warren for majority of day and are active early morning dusk and evenings. House rabbits loosely follow similar routine. It’s good to know because you feel better when you’re out all day because you know they’re pretty much just sleeping and not pining for attention.
